Women Too Drunk To Totter Home Get Free Flip-flops At The Taxpayers Expense

The resort of Torbay has spent £30,000 of taxpayers; money on flip-flops for women who are too drunk to stagger home in high heels.

The initiative by Safer Communities Torbay, a partnership between Devon and Cornwall Police, Torbay Council, the fire and rescue service and the local education authority, is meant to reduce the number of injuries caused by 'dangerous' footwear, including stubbed toes and sprained ankles.
The scheme, funded by the Home Office, is due to start next month in time for Christmas office party revellers, who pour out of the resorts clubs and bars in the early hours.

Officers will carry bags of the unisex flip-flops and will hand them to anyone who looks unsteady.

What a complete waste of time and money. !

Detective Sergeant Mark Kearney: 'Refusing to Bug Inmates Made Me a Thorn In Their Side'

Thames Valley Police began to investigate Detective Sergeant Mark Kearney ostensibly as a way of silencing an officer they suspected of talking to the press.

In an effort to stop embarrassing titbits about the force appearing in the Milton Keynes Citizen, they bugged his car, raided his house and those of his friends and seized their belongings.

But in using a sledgehammer to crack a nut, Thames Valley Police did not foresee that their ill-conceived efforts would draw in ministers and MPs, lead to an official Whitehall inquiry and expose one of the most shadowy aspects of police work - the eavesdropping carried out on prisoners and their visitors in British jails.

Salt Water As A Fuel

This may be the most revolutionary invention or discovery since fire. A man was trying to cure cancer using radio waves and discovered that these radio waves could be used to unlock hydrogen form oxygen in salt water. Amazing!

Watch this get bought up by Big Oil and then suppressed!

Wind Power Exposed: The Renewable Energy Source is Expensive, Unreliable and Won’t Save Natural Gas.

This is not what President-elect Barack Obama's energy and climate strategists would want to hear. It would be anathema to Al Gore and other assorted luminaries touting renewable energy sources which in one giant swoop will save the world from the “tyranny” of fossil fuels and mitigate global warming. And as if these were not big enough issues, oilman T. Boone Pickens’ grandiose plan for wind farms from Texas to Canada is supposed to bring about a replacement for the natural gas now used for power generation. That move will then lead to energy independence from foreign oil.

Too good to be true? Yes, and in fact it is a lot worse.

Bush Wants History to See Him As a Liberator Of Millions

George W. Bush hopes history will see him as a president who liberated millions of Iraqis and Afghans, who worked towards peace and who never sold his soul for political ends.

"I'd like to be a president (known) as somebody who liberated 50 million people and helped achieve peace," Bush said in excerpts of a recent interview released by the White House Friday.

"I would like to be a person remembered as a person who, first and foremost, did not sell his soul in order to accommodate the political process. I came to Washington with a set of values, and I'm leaving with the same set of values."

Just goes to show just how deluded and insane this man is!

'Killjoy' Council Bosses Blasted For Threatening Children's Pantomime With Police Raids

The amateur players in a village Christmas panto had no difficulty identifying the villains of this year’s show - and they aren’t even in the script.
For 17 years, the ladies and gentlemen and boys and girls of Peterculter, Aberdeenshire, have staged a show in the village hall - starring themselves.
Now killjoy council bosses have threatened them with a police raid on the first night of their Christmas ‘run’ - because their show contravenes health and safety laws.

Obama's S.2433 Would Put United States Under UN Mandate

According to David Bossie, President of the group 'Citizens United for American Sovereignty', based out of Merrifield Virginia, website:
The above- mentioned Senate Bill (S. 2433) is a piece of legislation in the works that all Americans need to know about and know now!

This bill, sponsored by none other than Sen. Barack Obama, with the backing of Joe Biden on the Foreign Relations Committee, and liberal democrats in Congress, is nothing short of a massive giveaway of American wealth around the world, and a betrayal of the public trust, because, if passed, this bill would give over many aspects of our sovereignty to the United Nations.

Plastic Police To Be Given Powers Of Detention By Jaqui Smith

The so-called 'Blunkett's bobbies' will be given extended powers, including being able to detain suspects, under plans unveiled yesterday.
Home Secretary Jacqui Smith wants to give police community support officers (PCSOs) the power to hold a criminal until a police officer arrives, impose fines for graffiti and disperse troublemakers.
The proposals alarm critics who believe that PCSOs – also dubbed plastic police – have been brought in to provide policing on the cheap.

Afghan President Wishes He Could Shoot Down U.S. Planes

Afghan President Hamid Karzai said on Wednesday he would bring down U.S. planes bombing villages if he could, in a sign of growing tension between Afghanistan and its Western backers as the Taliban insurgency grows in strength. As Western dissatisfaction with Karzai has grown over his failure to crack down on corruption and govern effectively, the Afghan president, facing elections next year, has hit back over the killing of dozens of civilians in foreign air strikes. In recent weeks, Karzai has repeatedly blamed the West for the worsening security in Afghanistan, saying NATO failed to target Taliban and Al- Qaida sanctuaries in Pakistan and calling for the war to be taken out of Afghan villages.

America's Child Soldiers: US Military Recruiting Children to Serve in the Armed Forces

In violation of its pledge to the United Nations not to recruit children into the military, the Pentagon “regularly target(s) children under 17,” the American Civil Liberties Union(ACLU) says.

The Pentagon “heavily recruits on high school campuses, targeting students for recruitment as early as possible and generally without limits on the age of students they contact,” the ACLU states in a 46-page report titled “Soldiers of Misfortune.”

This is in violation of the U.S. Senate's 2002 ratification of the Optional Protocol to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Pentagon recruiters are enrolling children as young as 14 in the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps(JROTC) in 3,000 middle-, junior-, and high schools nationwide, causing about 45 percent of the quarter of million students so enrolled to enlist, a rate much higher than in the general student population. Clearly, this is the outcome of underage exposure.

Police State Britain: Tory MP Damian Green's Crime Was To Reveal Truths Labour Didn't Want You To Know

MPs demanded protection from a 'police state' last night after the heavy-handed arrest of a Tory frontbencher shocked Westminster.

Extraordinary details of four simultaneous raids on immigration spokesman Damian Green's homes and offices raised urgent questions about the independence of Parliament.

The Oxford-educated father of two girls, who denies any wrongdoing, was fingerprinted and required to give a DNA sample before being released on bail after nine hours.

The tactics of Scotland Yard investigating a series of leaks that had no bearing on national security and served only to embarrass Labour were compared to those used in Robert Mugabe's Zimbabwe

Well now! perhaps they will at last take notice of what is happening every day to normal people in Britain now one of there own has been on the end of it. They should read the laws before passing them!

'Economic Benefits of Mass Immigration are Close to Zero', Lords Told

Claims that mass immigration has benefited the economy have been 'wildly overstated' by the Government, experts said yesterday.
Record levels of migration have brought virtually no economic benefit to Britain, the House of Lords was told.
Ministers have repeatedly insisted that newcomers contribute £6billion a year to the country's balance sheet.
But an authoritative report by the Lords Economic Affairs Committee, debated yesterday, blew apart Labour's claims that the wave of immigration from Eastern Europe has massive benefits.

Obama Tells Disappointed Supporters: "I Am the Change."

Oh, brother...
Barack Obama told his disappointed supporters who voted for him on the promise of change only to find him appoint old Clintonites and Bush cabinet members not to be upset-- "I am the change."
McClatchy reported:

President-elect Barack Obama essentially said Wednesday that he is the change, striving to assure Americans that he'll shake up Washington despite filling his administration with old hands from the Clinton administration and the capital's corridors of power.

"Understand where the vision for change comes from, first and foremost," Obama said. "It comes from me. That's my job, is to provide a vision in terms of where we are going, and to make sure, then, that my team is implementing."

Urgent Statement By Anti_Zionist Jews Worldwide

Rabbi Meir Hirsh, Neturei Karta Palestine
Neturei Karta of the Orthodox Jewry Or Palestine

How long will Jewish and non-Jewish leaders who claim the mantle of civilization and morality remain silent in the face of the ongoing state terrorism practiced by the Zionist state against the Palestinian People, most visibly today in Gaza, where the Zionists believe they can starve the Palestinians into submission in violation of all tenets of international law, all religious values in general, INCLUDING the values of the Jewish faith???!!

The terrorist regime of the State of Israel has been repressing, expelling and persecuting Palestinians for 60 years, and expects the Palestinians to simply sit with their arms folded while this goes on! Are the Palestinians supposed to be collaborators in their own destruction? Are they simply supposedly to surrender in order to compensate the Zionists for what happened during World War II thousands of miles away?

It is time for leaders with a sense of morality and courage to stand up and finally declare ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! The State of Israel must no long be granted a blank check to commit crimes! This wicked rogue ethnocratic state must be dismantled and the rights of the Palestinians restored!

We pray that our appeal will find its way into the hearts and minds of those who have the power to put an end to the madness unleashed by the State of Israel, which is armed to teeth with the most sophisticated weaponry used on the Palestinians, and held over the rest of the Middle East as the Zionists demand the entire world surrender to their agenda!

The Zionists know that their state is on the threshold of disintegration, and they are prepared to take millions of Jews and non-Jews down with them!! The world is in grave danger if the Zionists are not stopped!!

May G-d in Heaven hear our prayer!

Thai State Of Emergency

Mr Wongsawat's elected government is struggling for survival amid mounting rumours of a military coup.
The city's second airport, Don Muang, which carries mostly domestic traffic, was closed on Thursday morning after being overrun by anti-government protesters, severing the last air-link between the city of 8 million people and the outside world.
Suvarnabhumi international airport, a major regional hub, has been closed since explosions occurred and protesters overran the control tower on Tuesday.

Damian Green Arrest 'Like Mugabe's Zimbabwe'

Mr Green was arrested on Thursday afternoon over leaks of politically sensitive information from the Home Office. Counter-terrorism officers searched his Kent and London homes and his constituency and House of Commons offices.
A political row has broken out over the incident. Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary was not pre-warned about the arrest and the Government has categorically denied that the Prime Minister had any prior knowledge. Yet Mr Cameron, the Tory leader, Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London and the Speaker and Serjeant at Arms of the House of Commons have confirmed they were all informed.

'Sci-Fi Film' CCTV Predicts Crime

The CCTV system has gone up in sites across Portsmouth and it will reportedly help predict crimes before they actually happen.
The city's council has set up the network of "intelligent" cameras that can alert an operator to suspicious behaviour.
The system is able to spot "unusual" incidents like somebody loitering or a vehicle travelling too fast.

Piracy In The Red Sea: Saudi Points Towards Israel

Not only do columnists and analysts openly accuse Israel of sponsoring acts of piracy that multiply off Somali waters, but they also do not hide their fears of an internationalization of security in the Red Sea, where Israel plays a decisive role.
“What is happening in the Horn of Africa is not a simple case of piracy. These acts of piracy raise various questions about the capabilities and equipment of simple outlaws who are seeking ransoms,” wrote Tuesday (November 25) Nawaf Al-Meshal Sabhan in the Saudi daily Al-Iqtissadia.

Vatican Told Bishops To Cover Up Sex Abuse

The Vatican instructed Catholic bishops around the world to cover up cases of sexual abuse or risk being thrown out of the Church.
The Observer has obtained a 40-year-old confidential document from the secret Vatican archive which lawyers are calling a 'blueprint for deception and concealment'. One British lawyer acting for Church child abuse victims has described it as 'explosive'.

Native Blood: The Myth of Thanksgiving

Every schoolchild in the U.S. has been taught that the Pilgrims of the Plymouth Colony invited the local Indians to a major harvest feast after surviving their first bitter year in New England. But the real history of Thanksgiving is a story of the murder of indigenous people and the theft of their land by European colonialists--and of the ruthless ways of capitalism.

Will Obama Attend Durban 2 Conference?

One of the first foreign policy issues facing Barack Obama when he takes office in January will be to decide whether the United States will participate in a United Nations conference on topics close to his heart: racism and discrimination.

The Bush administration has indicated that American diplomats would not attend the so-called “Durban II” review conference, scheduled for April in Geneva. The current administration has expressed concern that the conference would turn into an anti-Israel event, just as the first U.N. conference on the subject did seven years ago in the South African city of Durban.

In mid-November, Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni told the United Jewish Communities General Assembly that Israel has decided to skip the Geneva conference after reviewing a draft statement issued following a preparatory meeting. The draft accuses Israel of “practices of racial discrimination against the Palestinians,” saying that its policies constitute “a new kind of apartheid, a crime against humanity [and] a form of genocide.”

NASA Mars Photo Leaked - Wood Found On Mars!

Someone at NASA released a photo that they shouldn’t have, a picture of a piece of timber the size of a railroad tie, a photo that could get someone killed. There is no mistaking that the object in the print below is a piece of wood. NASA claims that Mars is a desert planet with no life at all. NASA lies, repeatedly.

You Cannot Pardon a Crime You Authorized

Never before has a president pardoned himself or his subordinates for crimes he authorized. The closest thing to this in U.S. history thus far has been Bush's commutation of Scooter Libby's sentence. Bush is widely expected to follow that commutation with a pardon. Not only did Libby work for the White House, but he was convicted of obstruction of justice in an investigation that was headed to the president. Evidence introduced in the trial, including a hand-written note by the vice president, implicated Bush, and former Press Secretary Scott McClellan has since testified that Bush authorized the exposure of an undercover agent, that being the crime that was under investigation.

Georgian Diplomat States Georgia Started War In South Ossetia

'Georgia's former ambassador to Russia Erosi Kitsmarishvili has accused his own country of starting the war in South Ossetia. His comments almost led to a fistfight between politicians. "It was the Georgian government that launched the military action. It doesn’t matter whether it was provoked or not," he told the Georgian parliamentary commission analysing the August events. "As for the fact that Russia was prepared for it, Moscow was ready to perform the actions it did, because they were part of Russia’s overall plan. I am not saying Georgia is to blame for everything, because Russia was not an innocent lamb either."

Mumbai Attackers Were "Foreign Looking and Fair Skinned"?

Two separate witnesses caught up in the attack on Mumbai claimed that the "terrorists did not appear to be of Asian origin.

Mr Pappu Mishra, the owner of a station cafe in Mumbai stated to the BBC "They were foreign looking and fair skinned"

In a seperate report to the BBC 'Gaffar Abdul Amir, an Iraqi tourist from Baghdad, says he saw at least two men who started the firing outside the Leopold Cafe.

He was returning to his hotel from the seaside with a friend when he saw two men carrying bags and brandishing AK-47s walking in front of them, shooting.

"They did not look Indian, they looked foreign. One of them, I thought, had blonde hair. The other had a punkish hairstyle. They were neatly dressed," says Mr Amir
As the two girls fell near the cafe, he saw the two men quickening their steps towards the Taj Mahal hotel further up the road.

A few minutes later, gunfire was heard from the hotel, and much later, Mr Amir heard that gunmen had taken guests hostage.'

These reports obviously raise concerns as to the origin and motives of the attackers

Our Kids Have Become Pint-Sized Eco-Nazis

New Labour is explicitly recruiting children to its climate change and respect agendas - its illiberal, conformist, thought-policing programmes of 'good behaviour' promotion - in the hope that they might, 'use their pester power in a positive way: reminding grown-ups how to behave'.

After coating Britain in CCTV cameras, the Government is nurturing a battalion of child spies, an army of ethically minded Veruca Salts, to harry and hector the badly behaved adults of 21st-century Britain.

Law Lords Block Police Bid To Stop Critical Mass Cyclists

Police attempts to outlaw the monthly Critical Mass cycle ride through the streets of London unless its route was notified in advance were blocked by the Law Lords today.
The House of Lords allowed a challenge by cyclist Des Kay to a Court of Appeal ruling that the Metropolitan Police had the right to demand prior notice of the ride's date, time and route and the names and addresses of the organisers.
Cyclists who gather on the South Bank and ride through the city to celebrate safe cycling have in the past been handed written notices by the police stating that the event was unlawful because no advance notice was given.
But the Law Lords held that the event, which had no organisers or set route and proceeded on a "follow my leader" basis, was not governed by section 11 of the Public Order Act 1986.

Truman Show Syndrome Delusion: Sufferers Convinced They Are On Reality TV

The self-exposure, instant fame culture peddled by reality shows, social networking internet sites such as Facebook and – above all – the home video-sharing website YouTube has provided a "perfect storm" for vulnerable people, encouraging them to put their fantasies on a global stage, say researchers.
Joel and Ian Gold, a New York psychiatrist and Montreal academic, say they have been inundated with cases since they first expounded what they have dubbed the "Truman Syndrome" two years ago.
The title refers to the 1998 film starring Jim Carey in which the main character gradually realises his humdrum life is being filmed as a reality television show and that everyone he knows is merely acting.

Obama To Send Another 20,000 Troops To Afghanistan

The President-Elect's intention to shift the focus of the fight against terrorism to Afghanistan has been bolstered by Robert Gates agreement to stay on as Defence Secretary.
Mr Gates is a strong believer in an Afghan surge, which would not only put thousands more boots on the ground but involve negotiations with malleable branches of the Taliban.
It would also aim to boost co-operation with Iran and Pakistan where some elements have supported the anti-Western insurgency.

"I suspect that to succeed in Afghanistan, we're eventually going to have to swing a sizeable fraction of what we now have in Iraq into Afghanistan," said Stephen Biddle of the Council on Foreign Relations.'

United Nations General Assembly President Calls For Boycott Of Israel

The UN General Assembly president sparked Jerusalem's ire after calling for international boycott on Israel.Israel filed a formal complaint with the United Nations on Tuesday over statements made by UN General Assembly President, Father Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann of Nicaragua, who called for an international boycott of Israel after accusing it of being an apartheid regime. D'Escoto went on to decry the 'Our Greatest Failure'

Northern Rock Defies Brown to Raise Mortgage Rates

Northern Rock and HSBC defied orders from the Government and the Bank of England yesterday by making their mortgages even more expensive for new customers.
Both banks put up their mortgage rates by up to 0.65 points yesterday, three weeks after the 1.5 point interest rate cut, and just 24 hours after the Bank of England said getting banks to lend to families and firms is ‘the single most pressing challenge’ facing the country.
Governor Mervyn King had also warned that nationalisation of the entire banking system would not be ruled out if lending does not pick up.

The Lavon Affair - Is History Repeatiing Itself

In 1954, Israeli agents working in Egypt planted bombs in several buildings, including a United States diplomatic facility, and left evidence behind implicating Arabs as the culprits. The ruse would have worked, had not one of the bombs detonated prematurely, allowing the Egyptians to capture and identify one of the bombers, which in turn led to the round up of an Israeli spy ring.
Some of the spies were from Israel, while others were recruited from the local Jewish population.

Israel responded to the scandal with claims in the media that there was no spy ring, that it was all a hoax perpetrated by "anti-Semites".

America's hidden war in Somalia

To glimpse America's secret war in Africa, you must bang with a rock on the iron gate of the prison in this remote port in northern Somalia. A sleepy guard will yank open a rusty deadbolt. Then, you ask to speak to an inmate named Mohamed Ali Isse.Isse, 36, is a convicted murderer and jihadist. He is known among his fellow prisoners, with grudging awe, as "The Man with the American Thing in His Leg."That "thing" is a stainless steel surgical pin screwed into his bullet-shattered femur, courtesy, he says, of the U.S. Navy. How it got there — or more to the point, how Isse ended up in this crumbling, stone-walled hellhole at the uttermost end of the Earth—is a story that the U.S. government probably would prefer to remain untold.

Human Medical Experimentation in The United States: The Shocking True History of Modern Medicine and Psychiatry (1833-1965)

The United States claims to be the world leader in medicine. But there's a dark side to western medicine that few want to acknowledge: The horrifying medical experiments performed on impoverished people and their children all in the name of scientific progress. Many of these medical experiments were conducted on people without their knowledge, and most were conducted as part of an effort to seek profits from newly approved drugs or medical technologies.
Today, the medical experiments continue on the U.S. population and its children. From the mass drugging of children diagnosed with fictitious behavioral disorders invented by psychiatry to the FDA's approval of mass-marketed drugs that have undergone no legitimate clinical trials, our population is right now being subjected to medical experiments on a staggering scale. Today, nearly 50% of Americans are on a least one prescription drug, and nearly 20% of schoolchildren are on mind-altering amphetamines like Ritalin or antidepressants like Prozac. This mass medication of our nation is, in every way, a grand medical experiment taking place right now.

Australia: Private Intelligence Company Monitors Activists Online for Police

A PRIVATE intelligence company has been engaged by police to secretly monitor internet and email use by activist and protest groups, a report says.

The company was hired to monitor and report on the internet activities of anti-war campaigners, animal rights activists, environmental campaigners, and other protest groups, Fairfax Media reported.

It was hired by Victorian Police, the Australian Federal Police and the federal Attorney-General's department.

The Melbourne-based firm has for the past five years monitored websites, online chat rooms, social networking sites, email lists and bulletin boards, the report said.

It has gathered intelligence on planned protests and other activities, and many of those on the watch list have broken no laws, the report said.

Mossad Behind The Mass Terror Attack In Mumbai, India?

When I first read the news of the coordinated attacks on specific places firing automatic rifles and lobbing grenades in the city of Mumbai on the west coast of India that occured Wednesday night, I deduce it is Mossad in the planning and execution of the attack -- by themselves or the deployment of Manchurian candidates -- to provoke international outrage towards the designated enemy. Over 80 persons died and more than 250 wounded.

India Seeking to Bolster Ties with Iran

India says it considers its own national interests and wants to develop relations with Iran without being intimidated by political pressure.

"Iran and India could develop relations not only in the field of energy but also in new industries, mineral products and banking activities," press tv quoted Indian Ambassador to Iran Manbir Singh as saying Sunday in a meeting at Tehran's chamber of commerce.

The minister stressed that India would not let outside political pressure distract the developing relations between the two countries.

Well if that isnt a good enough reason for the Mumbai bombings and the fact that the 'terrorists' wil be linked to the Pakistani ISI, I don't know what is!

Britain 'Bribes Afghans to Fight Taleban'

BRITAIN plans to pay cash "bribes" to tribal elders in Afghanistan's war-torn Helmand province, as part of a scheme to persuade them to take on the Taleban.
UK officials in the capital, Kabul, are bankrolling an Afghan initiative to pay community leaders monthly wages to get them talking to the government.

Banks Still Refusing To Lend

The London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR) continues to fall from credit quake extremes, today falling to below 100 basis points (3 month) above the base interest rate that was cut in a panic move to 3% earlier this month. However as the below graph illustrates a 1% spread is still uncomfortably near credit crisis extremes and therefore implies that the banks are still reluctant to lend to one another which was confirmed by the Bank of England Governor Mervyn King who stated that extreme measures may be necessary to force the banks to lend again which in the final analysis implies nationalisation of the whole of british retail banking sector.

Traces of Melamine Found In US Baby Formula

The "very low trace levels" of the industrial chemical found in US-made products "is no cause for concern" from a health standpoint, said Stephen Sundloff, director of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Centre for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition.
The traces of melamine were found as part of a new programme of testing for the chemical initiated in the wake of the Chinese baby formula scandal.

The Slow Death of Gaza

The collective punishment of Gaza's civilian population is illegal. But international law was tossed aside long ago

It has been two weeks since Israel imposed a complete closure of Gaza, after months when its crossings have been open only for the most minimal of humanitarian supplies. Now it is even worse: two weeks without United Nations food trucks for the 80% of the population entirely dependent on food aid, and no medical supplies or drugs for Gaza's ailing hospitals. No fuel (paid for by the EU) for Gaza's electricity plant, and no fuel for the generators during the long blackouts. Last Monday morning, 33 trucks of food for UN distribution were finally let in – a few days of few supplies for very few, but as the UN asks, then what?

China and the Congo Wars: AFRICOM. America's New Military Command

Just weeks after President George W. Bush signed the Order creating a new US military command dedicated to Africa, AFRICOM, events on the mineral-rich continent have erupted which suggest a major agenda of the incoming Obama Presidency will be for the son of a black Kenyan to focus US resources, military and other, on dealing with the Republic of Congo, the oil-rich Gulf of Guinea, the oil-rich Darfur region of southern Sudan and increasingly the Somali ‘pirate threat’ to sea lanes in the Red Sea and Indian Ocean. The legitimate question is whether it is mere coincidence that Africa appears just at this time to become a new geopolitical ‘hot spot’ or whether it has a direct link to the formal creation of AFRICOM.

Roll Up, Roll Up For The National Fire Sale

Lock-keepers’ cottages, assorted forests, a conference centre, military radio frequencies and a uranium enrichment company – the sale to help to plug Britain’s £1 trillion deficit is now open.
Buried in the Pre-Budget Report is a list of state-owned assets with “potential for alternative business models”.
Treasury ministers rejected claims that the privatisation drive amounted to a firesale that would leave taxpayers short-changed.

Just watch how the majority of these UK assets will be snapped up by foreign companies and institutions at bargain basement prices!

HIV Carriers Face Microchip Implants in Indonesia's Papua Province

Some carriers of HIV would be implanted with microchips under a bill backed by legislators in the Indonesian province of Papua.
John Manangsang, a Papua MP, said that by implanting computer chips beneath the skin of "sexually aggressive" patients authorities would be in a better position to identify, track and punish anyone who deliberately infected others. Those convicted could face up to six months in jail or a £3,340 fine.
The proposed legislation has received backing from the provincial parliament and a majority vote is expected. If approved it would be enacted next month, Manangsang said.

Iceland Riots Precursor To US Civil Unrest?

Riots and protests in Reykjavik calling for the government of Iceland to resign have increased following a financial catastrophe that has wiped out half of the krona’s value and put one third of the population at risk of losing their homes and life savings. Could similar scenes of civil unrest be repeated in the United States as the economy continues to implode?

Is Hillary Barred from Becoming Secretary of State?

The media and blogosphere is abuzz with questions about whether Hillary Clinton is constitutionally prohibited from accepting the position of Secretary of State in Obama's administration -- based on Article I, Section 6, which states:

"The Senators and Representatives shall receive a compensation for their services, to be ascertained by law, and paid out of the treasury of the United States. They shall in all cases, except treason, felony and breach of the peace, be privileged from arrest during their attendance at the session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any speech or debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other place.
"No Senator or Representative shall, during the time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil office under the authority of the United States, which shall have been created, or the emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time: and no person holding any office under the United States, shall be a member of either House during his continuance in office. Fed Risks ‘Spitting in the Wind’ With New $800 Billion Pledge

The Federal Reserve’s new $800 billion effort to combat the financial crisis is designed to make credit more accessible to shaken consumers who aren’t sure they want more debt.
Households and lenders may not respond much because of the wealth destruction from plunging property and stock values, and the deepening economic slump, economists say. That means banks may end up returning the Fed’s new liquidity through deposits at the central bank.

US Intelligence 'Kept Files On Tony Blair's Private Life'

US intelligence officials kept a file on former prime minister Tony Blair's "private life", a former US navy communications operator claimed today.
David Murfee Faulk, who worked at a listening post in Fort Gordon, Georgia, told he saw the file on Blair in 2006.
But he refused to provide details of what the file, held in an intelligence database called Anchory, contained, other than to say it was a file on his "private life" and included information of a personal nature.

The Disease Of 'Hate' Crimes Legislation

Increasingly, "hate speech" and "hate crimes" make headlines in world media. These are two labels Jefferson and Madison wouldn't have even known. Our Founding Fathers laid a framework for free speech and freest possible action. Crime was defined as rights-violating action committed by one individual against another-not politically incorrect speech or beliefs about a community. That simple, individual rights-based idea of justice is disappearing fast.

Film Review: GenerationRx Documents Chemical Abuse of Children by Pharmaceutical Industry, Modern Psychiatry

Filmmaker Kevin Miller has just launched a shocking new documentary that exposes the crimes and deceptions of modern psychiatry and the drug companies that now control the industry. His film, entitled GenerationRx sheds light on the shadowy practices of psychiatric doctors who are increasingly drugging children with mind-altering drugs. Trailers and DVDs are available at

The film features an impressive collection of interviews with skeptical physicians, industry critics and even the former deputy director of the FDA. Together, their testimony paints a disturbing picture of the deceitful -- even predatory -- behavior of the psychiatry industry, calling into question the very existence of so-called "disorders" that have been used to put tens of millions of children on dangerous mind-altering drugs that have earned billions of dollars in profits for Big Pharma.

The teen who recently committed "live" suicide on his web cam was taking psychiatric drugs. So was Heath Ledger, the Columbine school shooters and even the wife of famed comedian Phil Hartman, who shot and killed Mr. Hartman in a murder-suicide. In fact, if you want to know who's taking psychiatric drugs in America today, just follow the trail of blood. Wherever there's violence, you find Big Pharma's brain-altering chemicals behind it.

Revealed: Labour Planned To Increase VAT After Next Election

Labour secretly drew up plans to increase VAT to 18.5 per cent after the next election, official documents revealed last night.
A Treasury paper suggested that the flagship cut in sales tax to 15 per cent - announced in Monday's Pre-Budget Report - would not only be reversed in 2010, but hiked above its current rate of 17.5 per cent.
The disclosure came as experts warned that middle-income families would be hit by other sweeping tax changes, despite the Treasury's claims.

FDA Scientists Revolt Against Corrupt Food and Drug Administration Officials

A group of scientists working in the FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health division has revolted against the corrupt managers of its own department, accusing them of committing crimes by claiming, "There is extensive documentary evidence that managers at CDRH have corrupted and interfered with the scientific review of medical devices."

The letter from the FDA's own scientists goes on to say, "It is evident that managers at CDRH have deviated from FDA's mission to identify and address underlying problems with medical devices before they cause irreparable harm, and this deviation has placed the American people at risk."

Citigroup collapses! Banking Shutdown Possible

It pains me deeply to announce that, despite the massive government rescue, yesterday’s collapse of Citigroup could ultimately lead to a shutdown of the global banking system.
For many years, I hoped this would never happen, and I thought we might be able to avoid it.

Deprivation and Desperation in Gaza

As conditions in the Gaza strip approach a catastrophic level of deprivation, the worldedia, and in particular the U.S. media, remain largely silent. The United Nations, whose truckloads of food and medical supplies continue to be denied entry into Gaza by Israel, appears to be one of the few international voices of dissent concerning the collective punishment of 1.5 million human beings. This, despite the fact that more than 50% of the population in Gaza is comprised of children under the age of 15.

Jacqui Smith's Taser Plan Suffers Blow After Met Police Authority's Rejection

The authority overseeing Britain’s largest police force warned that a government decision to allow Taser stun guns to be used by non-specialist firearms officers threatened to cause “fear” among the public.

Jacqui Smith’s announcement that 10,000 of the weapons are to be supplied to 43 forces in England and Wales suffered an immediate blow when the Metropolitan Police Authority said it had no intention sanctioning their wider deployment in London.

Bush 'Very Pleased' With Iraq War Outcome

US President George W. Bush believes the Iraq war was a success and is "very pleased" with what is happening there, he said in a pre-recorded interview broadcast on a Japanese television network Sunday.

Citibank Thanks America For Filling Its Begging Bowl With a Royal One Finger Salute

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!Last week, while Congress was engineering a bailout package of the taxpayers’ money to rescue Citibank and save the economy, Citibank was sending out notices to its cardholders of a new and usurious policy — a policy that could drown consumers and help sink the economy.

Something Is Happening Of Historic Proportions

I am a student of history. Professionally. I have written 15 books in six languages, and have studied it all my life. I think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is just a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes these exist, but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus.

Something of historic proportions is happening. I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it. Yes, a perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something happening within our country that has been evolving for about ten - fifteen years. The pace has dramatically quickened in the past two.

Iran Brings Down Israeli Spy Network

"The security and intelligence division of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) recently identified a network that was spying on the country's military organizations," Fars news agency quoted the chief IRGC commander, Brigadier General Mohammad-Ali Jafari, as saying on Monday. "The network's link with Mossad was established after extensive intelligence and tracking operations. Members of the cell were arrested during an operation," Brig. Gen. Jafari said.

Down On The Farm, A Frenzy Over Free Food

Want one more palpable sign of a desperate economy?
An estimated 40,000 people came to a Weld County farm Saturday to collect free potatoes, carrots and leeks.
Cars snaked around cornfields and parallel parked along Colorado 66 and 119 early in the morning to get free food from the Miller family, who farm 600 acres outside of Platteville, about 37 miles north of Denver.
As this prolonged Indian summer continued, the Millers had decided to give away produce because so much was left over at the end of their annual fall festival. Any day now, a few deep freezes would kill it off.
They expected between 5,000 and 10,000 people spread out over a couple of days. Instead, they found themselves on Saturday morning inundated with cars and people with sacks and wagons and barrels ready to harvest whatever was available.

UFOs, Aliens and Ghosts are Believed in More Than God

While 54 per cent of people believe in God, 58 per cent believe in the supernatural.
Researchers found women were more likely to believe in the supernatural than men, and were more likely to visit a medium.
Nearly a quarter of the 3,000 questioned by researchers claimed they had an encounter with the paranormal.
Some 37 per cent said aliens and ghosts were the basis of their belief system.

Russian Analyst Predicts Decline and Breakup of U.S.

A leading Russian political analyst has said the economic turmoil in the United States has confirmed his long-held view that the country is heading for collapse, and will divide into separate parts.

Professor Igor Panarin said in an interview with the respected daily Izvestia published on Monday: "The dollar is not secured by anything. The country's foreign debt has grown like an avalanche, even though in the early 1980s there was no debt. By 1998, when I first made my prediction, it had exceeded $2 trillion. Now it is more than 11 trillion. This is a pyramid that can only collapse."
The paper said Panarin's dire predictions for the U.S. economy, initially made at an international conference in Australia 10 years ago at a time when the economy appeared strong, have been given more credence by this year's events.

This is Change. 20 Hawks, Clintonites and Neocons to Watch for in Obama's White House

U.S. policy is not about one individual, and no matter how much faith people place in President-elect Barack Obama, the policies he enacts will be fruit of a tree with many roots. Among them: his personal politics and views, the disastrous realities his administration will inherit, and, of course, unpredictable future crises. But the best immediate indicator of what an Obama administration might look like can be found in the people he surrounds himself with and who he appoints to his Cabinet. And, frankly, when it comes to foreign policy, it is not looking good.

US Intelligence: EU Will Be a ‘Hobbled Giant’ by 2025

Actually, EU Observer says that Europe will be a ‘hobbled giant’, but it never ceases to amaze Cranmer the extent to which Europe is becoming synonymous with the EU, despite 21 of Europe’s 48 nation states residing without its confines (22 if you include Vatican City, which could never, of course, ‘pool’ its sovereignty with the EU). While the EU may now constitute the majority of European states, 46 per cent have not been absorbed, harmonised or ‘normalised’ (yet).

Global Warming? Bring It On!

The argument propounded by the dubious United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report on Anthropogenic (human-induced) Global Warming (AGW) is willfully fraudulent. The report has been vigorously and critically undermined, scientifically denounced and found wanting from both notable scientists here and abroad.

In spite of this fact, it is likely that the new U.S. Democratic Congress and Administration will once again proclaim that they know better than we do about such things. Get ready for them to move surreptitiously under the guise of Global Climate Control in an effort to enhance their own legacies and pocketbooks. To be sure, the Left hears nothing but their own incestuous voices, despite the voices of clarity and reason that abound around them. And there are many, many distinguished dissenters against the charade of AGW.

How Mercury Kills The Brain

Social Services 'Set Up CCTV Camera in Couple's Bedroom'

Council staff are said to have spied on the young parents at night as part of a plan to see if they were fit to look after their baby, who was sleeping in another room.

The mother and father were forced to cite the Human Rights Act, which protects the right to a private life, before the social services team backed down and agreed to switch off the surveillance camera while they were in bed together.

The case is highlighted in a new dossier of human rights abuses carried out against vulnerable and elderly adults in nursing homes and hospitals across Britain.

It comes just days after the Government admitted town halls have gone too far in using anti-terror laws to snoop on members of the public.

'Shots fired' at Georgia's president Mikheil Saakashvili

Mr Saakashvili and his Polish counterpart, Lech Kaczynski, were on a tour of the disputed region of Akhalgori, which borders South Ossetia,. Russian troops are still manning a checkpoint on the boundary since a five-day war in August.
A spokesman for the Georgian government said the Russian troops opened fire when the convoy approached, but shaky television pictures were inconclusive. Automatic gunfire could be heard but it was unclear where it was coming from. No one was hurt and the convoy turned back.

It will probably come out later that these shot were fired by georgians

Top Civil servant to Fight Release Of Iraq War Records

Sir Gus O’Donnell, the head of the Civil Service, will lead the Government’s last-ditch attempt to block the release of minutes of Cabinet meetings in the run-up to the war in Iraq, The Times has learnt.
No 10 has been ordered by Richard Thomas, the Information Commissioner, to release copies of Cabinet minutes and records relating to meetings held between March 7 and 17, 2003.

Banks ‘Need Extra £110bn Of Public Money To Start Lending Again’

High street banks could require another £110 billion in taxpayers’ money to shore up their finances if they are to resume normal lending to consumers and businesses, a leading think-tank says today.
The warning that the banks could need three times as much in public support as the £37 billion already pumped into them will fuel speculation that the Treasury may yet resort to wholesale nationalisation of the banking industry.

Yobs Have Overturned Your Car? Call The AA Say Police

When a gang of youths rolled his girlfriend's parked car on its side, Simon White thought there was a good chance that the police would catch the culprits.
But instead of the swift response he had hoped for, they told him to call the AA.
'I couldn't believe they were telling me to call a breakdown service,' said estate agent Mr White.

Infinite Energy Is The Only Truth

Those who ever took time to meditate on the full meaning of Einstein’s famous E=mc2 equation won’t be surprised. Those who have read David Icke’s book “Infinite Love is the Only Truth, Everything Else is Illusion” will understand my excitement. What until last week was a “theory” has now been scientifically proven and confirmed by the Europe’s fastest supercomputer: at least 95 percent of our “material” world is, in fact, immaterial, a sort of “pure energy” with no mass or volume.

And that’s not all! Particle physics considers the mass of other 5 percent of “matter” being created out of the quantum vacuum by the so-called Higgs field in the form of virtual [New Scientist] Higgs bosons, aka “The God Particles,” whose existence is yet to be confirmed when the Large Hadron Collider starts up again next year. The big deal is that if the LHC confirms that the Higgs exists, it will mean that ALL (!) our reality is virtual.

Iraq Told: Keep US Troops Or Face Martial Law

Iraq's defense minister Abdul Qadir Muhammed Jassim threatened to declare a state of emergency if Iraq's parliament refused to sign an accord allowing US troops to stay in the country for three more years.

His rhetoric was eerily in tune with Bush Administration officials' comments on domestic security and Iran, echoing language used by the Administration to bolster support for the Iraq war.

Sounds very similar to Paulson's threat to congress over the bail out !

John F Kennedy vs The Federal Reserve

On June 4, 1963, a virtually unknown Presidential decree, Executive Order 11110, was signed with the authority to basically strip the Federal Reserve Bank of its power to loan money to the United States Federal Government at interest. With the stroke of a pen, President Kennedy declared that the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank would soon be out of business. The Christian Law Fellowship has exhaustively researched this matter through the Federal Register and Library of Congress. We can now safely conclude that this Executive Order has never been repealed, amended, or superceded by any subsequent Executive Order. In simple terms, it is still valid.

German False Flag Attack ON EU In Kosovo

Germany declined to comment on on Saturday on reports that three Germans arrested on suspicion of throwing explosives at an EU office in Kosovo were intelligence officers.

A police source in Kosovo told Reuters: "They are members of the BND", but gave no further details.

Fugitive Rice Escapes Justice In Auckland

United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice made a narrow escape from justice, with the assistance of the New Zealand Police, in Auckland on Saturday 26 July. The police can now consider themselves accessories to war crimes. Rice met with government leaders in Auckland but was chased by 150 protesters spurred on by a bounty of $10,000. They called for her arrest, under the Geneva Convention, for war crimes and for her role in authorising the use of torture.

U.S Taxpayers To Fund $1Billions Upgrade To General Motors Brazil Operation

General Motors plans to invest $1 billion in Brazil to avoid the kind of problems the U.S. automaker is facing in its home market, said the beleaguered car maker.According to the president of GM Brazil-Mercosur, Jaime Ardila, the funding will come from the package of financial aid that the manufacturer will receive from the U.S. government and will be used to "complete the renovation of the line of products up to 2012."

Now that's really taking the piss out of the American Taxpayer!!!

Obama To Mandate Abortion

Obama has officially consorted with Planned Parenthood in the slaughter of millions of black babies, and in office he plans to expand the reach of the child-killers. In July of 2007, Obama told Planned Parenthood that the first piece of legislation he would sign would be the Freedom of Choice Act, a bill that would invalidate virtually all abortion limits approved by state legislatures in all fifty states.

Overrated--Romantic Love, Young Women, Sex, Lobster

"So long as the love, even the smallest, of man toward woman is not destroyed, so long is his mind in bondage as the calf that drinks milk is to his mother." -Buddha

I turned 59 last week. When I think back over the great loves of my life--the young women that held me spellbound-- I realize now they were all delusions.

The ladies were not who I thought they were. I idealized them. Idealization is an important part of the mating process but do we really want to be fooled and suffer the consequences? We are programmed by popular culture --movies and music -- to seek certain experiences whether or not they are realistic.

Our pagan (i.e. Cabalistic, Masonic) "culture" regards sex as a holy sacrament/ universal panacea, and elevates beautiful women to the status of angels and goddesses.

I won't pretend to have resisted this brainwashing. I chased women and sex with the best of them. But now that the grip of testosterone has relaxed, I am left scratching my head and wondering why? I have to remind myself about sexual attraction. Sexual attraction is all about procreation. We are meant to marry, propagate and move on to other things. The Illuminati have arrested our development by sabotaging marriage. Thus sex has become a life-long distraction.

Sex plays a major part in the matrix that keeps us in mental and spiritual slavery. Television is constantly enforcing the message that we should pursue sex for its own sake, along with everything that leads to it.

Two Hundred Public Sector Workers Earn More Than PM

The Public Sector Rich List 2008, published by the TaxPayers' Alliance today, shows that hundreds of government employees are enjoying rises of nearly 11 per cent.
Topping the list is the head of Network Rail, Ian Coucher who earns £1,244,000 a year. Second and third place go to Adam Crozier, chief executive of Royal Mail, on £1,242,000 and Andy Duncan, chief executive of Channel Four on £1,211,000.

MEP Has No Office In Constituency But Still Claims £40,000 Expenses

One of Britain’s least active MEPs has been receiving more than £40,000 a year for office expenses despite having no office in his constituency.

David Sumberg, a Conservative MEP for the North West of England, has already declared he pays £54,000 a year for secretarial support from his wife.

Since the current European parliament was elected in 2004, Sumberg has made just two set-piece speeches and 12 one-minute “explanations of votes”. He has tabled five questions and sits on a committee but has not written any of its reports or tabled any resolutions.

“If there was a competition for laziest MEP in Britain I don’t doubt he would make the shortlist,” said Chris Davies, a Liberal Democrat MEP who also represents the North West.

Police To Get 10,000 Tasers

Jacqui Smith, the home secretary, is to arm police with 10,000 Taser stun guns in an escalation of the government's fight against violent crime.
Smith will unveil plans tomorrow that will enable all 30,000 front-line response officers to be trained in firing the electric guns at knife-wielding thugs and other violent suspects.
Smith said yesterday that £8m will be made available to all 43 police forces in England and Wales to buy the new 50,000-volt weapons.
She said their use will be extended from small units of dedicated firearms officers to up to 30,000 police response officers across the country.

A Fly Trapped In The Web Of Social Services

As a (fairly) normal person who has always stood on her own feet, and thought social workers were for that section of society unable or unwilling to help themselves, to find myself and my family caught up in the impenetrable, sticky web that is Social Services makes me feel like a trapped fly, slowly desiccating until I – or at least my ancient mother – turn to dust.

NATO Stll Killing In Kosovo

Back in 1999 NATO carried out a 78-day shelling of Serbia and Kosovo. They allegedly used depleted uranium which continues to kill people.Nine years after NATO’s bombing of Serbia, the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation is still taking lives in Kosovo, Serbia’s Pressonline reported. The NATO allegedly used shells with depleted uranium which are still today causing an increase in the number of cancer patients.Prior to 1999, the number of Serbs who suffered from malignant tumours was three times lesser, according to the statistics of Serb hospitals. In Kosovo’s Kosovska Mitrovica in 2005 there were 38 percent more cancer patients than in 2004.In those two years, a total of 3,500 cancer cases in Kosovo Albanians were diagnosed.Globally, six people out of a thousand suffer from malignant tumours on average. In the Kosovska Mitrovica hospital, there are 200 cancer patients to 1,000 people.

Health and Safety Gone Mad as Hospital Bans Sponge Cakes

Volunteers at a seaside town’s hospital have spent decades baking cakes to raise money for equipment the NHS cannot afford.
But now the hospital has banned home-made cakes from its fundraising events – because of health and safety fears.
Officials at West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven, Cumbria, claim the League of Friends’ sponge cakes and tea loaves contravene guidelines.

Obama Picks NY Federal Reserve President As Treasury Secretary

President-elect Barack Obama has selected New York Federal Reserve Bank President Timothy F. Geithner as Treasury secretary, handing the post to a primary architect of the Bush administration’s response to the financial crisis, according to Democratic and industry officials yesterday.

Rich Countries Launch Massive Land Grab in Poorer Nations

Rich governments and corporations are triggering alarm for the poor as they buy up the rights to millions of hectares of agricultural land in developing countries in an effort to secure their own long-term food supplies.

The head of the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation, Jacques Diouf, has warned that the controversial rise in land deals could create a form of "neo-colonialism", with poor states producing food for the rich at the expense of their own hungry people.

Rising food prices have already set off a second "scramble for Africa". This week, the South Korean firm Daewoo Logistics announced plans to buy a 99-year lease on a million hectares in Madagascar. Its aim is to grow 5m tonnes of corn a year by 2023, and produce palm oil from a further lease of 120,000 hectares (296,000 acres), relying on a largely South African workforce. Production would be mainly earmarked for South Korea, which wants to lessen dependence on imports.

Media Disinfo: Viet Nam, Iraq, and "The Wires"

It is a sad and dangerous development when supposedly objective news media yield to national pressure to slant the news in favor of the government.

This routinely happens in dictatorships at all times but it can happen in democracies as well, particularly in time of war. It was no surprise that, during the rape of Nanking, a correspondent for a Japanese daily paper wrote home giddily about a nauseating contest by two crazed officers to see which of them could be the first to behead a hundred Chinese prisoners! During the Second World War the Japanese press reflected government policy, and if the government was mad so was the press. Later, when Britain entered the war, a BBC broadcaster named George Orwell lied through his teeth to conceal the systematic bombing of German civilians by the RAF, and he wasn’t the only one.
