Residents of the town of Horsham, which lies 190 miles northwest of Melbourne and is home to 14,000 people, were rushing to protect their homes with sandbags as the swollen Wimmera River threatened 500 properties.
The river is expected to peak overnight at more than 13ft and could inundate another small 12 towns.
"It's predicted to be a one-in-200-year event," a Victoria emergency services spokesman said.'

ReplyDeleteNever in my wildest dreams would l have dare thought that l would one day come face to face with an alien in the location of Williamstown which l've lived and worked mostly for 37 years,
actually 40, and particulary in the way that it was to happen and eventuate.
l wont bore one with my early background only to say that l felt different internally which l've expressed somewhat in comments beforehand, but l began building an invisible wall around myself externally as l entered the early 1970's from the cycle called puberty, as feelings stirred within a cocktail of shyness, fear and the bitterness of a thing called sexuality.
Added to the mixture internally was the unpleasantness of low self esteem with a taste that lacked self confidence, what a horrible concoction of a blend the SYSTEM l plodded in society made up for me to swallow.
ReplyDeleteHowever in the end it t'was did me a favour in my flavour and the tables of time have turned slowly thankfully.
In 1976 l was to met my sisters future in laws before they headed off for a year long stay to St Paul, Minnesota America, both were teachers he a Professor of mathematics and she a literature and english teacher.
He an ex American she an ex Brit.
My sister Roslyn and her boyfriend Andrew, 2 of Roslyns girlfriends Anna and Vicky and myself were to rent and live in their house 88 Thompson st Williamstown while they were away, we were aged 18-19.
After their return l went back home to my parents at 118 Aitken st Williamstown to live as a homebody and a cancerian hermit....ha, basically going nowhere in particular.
Over the next 22 years l rarely saw my sisters future in laws, as from 1986,....until 1999.
Thats when they became more visible and friendly towards me moreso than before, as we didn't really see each other that much over the 22 years.
It was in the House of Attitudes that others too
began to ebb and flood into my existence awashing me with kindness and their attitudes toward me...all done nicely.

The comment l posted on this story yesterday revealed an address which l understand could be a problem so l'll delete the house number this time Andrew.
ReplyDeletel was in a bit of a dilemma myself as to whether or not.

ReplyDeleteNever in my wildest dreams could l have dare thought that one day l would come eye to eye face to face with an alien, at the location that l have lived and mostly worked in for 40 of my 53 years, Williamstown, and particulary in the way that it was to eventuate.
l won't bore one with my early years and heading into my twenties only to say l think l've expressed that somewhat in comments previously.
l began building an invisible barrier around myself externally as l entered the early 1970's from the cycle of puberty, as feelings stirred within a cocktail of shyness, fear and a bitterness of a thing shaken in the mix called sexuality.
Added to the mixture internally was the unpleasantness of low self esteem with a taste lacking self confidence.
However my existence hasn't been all that bad growing up really, l'm just quiet natured and l mostly prefered my own company.
Thankfully l didn't possess a strong sex drive as a young adult that was to come much later on in my thirties and bring me to the point of a dreadful misery, internally.
In 1976 l was to met my sisters future in laws before they ventured off for a year long stay in St Paul Minnesota America.
ReplyDeleteBoth were teachers, he a Professor of mathematics at Melbourne University and she a literature and english teacher.
He originally from American and she British.
Andrew, her son to a previous marriage and his girlfriend, my sister Roslyn, two of Roslyns girlfriends Ann and Vicky and myself were to look after their home at Thompson Street Williamstown while they were away for the year 1977 as tenants rentering rooms, we were all around 18-19 years of age.
After the year was up l returned back to my parents home at 118 Aitken Street Williamstown,
its pretty run down looking now from the google map view but it wasn't when we lived there, it had a tree in the front with a garden once.
Anyhow l lived there from 1970-2004 basically as a homebody mostly and like my starsign a cancerian hermit...ha, going nowhere fast.
Over the next 22 years l rarely saw my sisters future in laws [as from her marriage to Andrew in 1986] only occasionally, until 1999.
They became more visible as we came into contact with each other moreso than very before,
as well as others who ebbed and flooded their way into my life behind the doors of the House of Attitudes....all done very nicely and friendly too, keep your friends close and your enemies even closer...more like it.

One thing l have to note here is that they l know of did me a favour in the end so l don't see them as an enemy just used pawns and tools and a means to throw me off direction, a lone target .
ReplyDeleteYes l get pissed off knowing there were faceless others within the network and system, up the ladder in positions of power whom were involved indirectly with the hidden set up to entrap me, but they also did me a favour too in the end.
And now the tables have slowly turned from my experience in Attitudes which has answered that question which was like a splinter in my mind many years ago...
"l'm here for something???...but what????",
now l know and l'm ready for the change this world will see, eventually.
Didn't get this experience and a form of communication with something interdimensional for nothing, no sir ree flash me matey.
