Dying Man Left on Pavement for Two Hours as Shoppers Walk Around Him

Shoppers walked past a dying man as he lay helpless on the pavement.

The man, in his 50s, was slumped outside a busy row of shops in Eastfield Road, Peterborough, for nearly two hours before someone finally came to his aid.

A passer-by eventually dialled 999 after approaching the man to see if he needed help.

Good Samaritan Tony Poll said he felt disgusted that the man had been left there for so long and blasted shoppers for having 'no regard for human life'.'

UK Forces Accused of Helping Taliban

Most of the Regional Command in the South of Afghanistan will be shifted from the UK to the US, as British forces are accused of having links with the Taliban.

British newspaper, The Independent, said that command in southern Afghanistan will be split in half, with UK troops answering to a US general from June 1.

According to some reports, the changes are made as the British have reportedly cooperated with the Taliban in recent years and allowed Afghan farmers to cultivate opium freely.

The reports say that the British forces were even involved in the process of drug trafficking itself.'

Files Reveal Britain's Secret Biological Weapons Trials in Second World War

British scientists experimented with ways of spreading foot-and-mouth disease, and lethal infections such as dysentery, cholera and typhoid in secret biological warfare trials during the second world war.

An extensive list of the contagious agents and plagues that could be turned into weapons of mass destruction is revealed in files from a War Cabinet committee released to the National Archives.

The government was known to have produced 5m anthrax-filled cakes to infect cattle in Germany during the war, but the latest documents show research was carried out into a far larger variety of diseases, mostly in Porton Down, near Salisbury, and Pirbright in Surrey.'

General Election: Shhh… Don’t Mention the Occupation

It's an important question for the simple reason that the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has such a vice-like grip on the private parts of US congressional representatives that Israel’s interests are put ahead of America's. And due to the influence of the Israel lobby here in the UK we too are so embroiled in their perpetual strife with the Islamic world that we’ve been sucked into the same stinking swamp.

Britain is now one of the most hated nations on earth thanks to our cosy association with US-Israeli ambitions in the Middle East. Party leaders talk passionately about cleaning up politics but carefully avoid addressing this, the most corrupting and dangerous influence of all.'

Our Leaders Breached International Law and Committed War Crimes

We read so much now days about gross neglect in high places and also horrendous crimes against human kind but do we really understand the magnitude of what has happened in the past and what can happen in the future.

The activity I am referring too is not only a question of pure greed but also a question of total disregard for the UN and International Law. One could possibly say that this was one of the most serious events in our modern day history, which is ongoing. The crime may come under the Nuclear Explosions Act of 1998 or maybe the existing Anti Terrorism, Crime and Security Act 2001 (1) which is in force and includes offences relating to nuclear weapons.

There are many actors involved in this classic case of cross neglect. These ruthless men took advantage of a weak United Nations by carrying out under the table deals with a country that was under an embargo (South Africa). They made significant sums of money out of the deal and that money belonged to the British Taxpayer.

Before going into who were allegedly involved, we have to stress that on the other side of the pond there were others involved in another behind the scenes operation. George Bush and Dick Cheney were the star players along with many others involved who between them also lost three nukes and never told a soul!

Israeli Tourism Advert Banned in UK

Britain has banned an Israeli tourist office press campaign in which pictures of Noble Sanctuary and the al-Aqsa Mosque have been displayed as part of Israel.

The British Guardian newspaper reported on Wednesday that the UK advertising regulator imposed a ban on the advertisement over display of the sites, both of which are in East Jerusalem (al-Quds) and part of the Palestinian occupied territories.

The Advertising Standards Authority said that readers of the ad would assume that all the places featured in the ad were part of Israel.'

New EU Gestapo Spies on Britons

Millions of Britons face being snooped on by a new European intelligence agency which has been handed frightening powers to pry into our lives.

Europol can access personal information on anyone – including their political opinions and sexual preferences – if it suspects, rightly or wrongly, that they may be involved in any “preparatory act” which could lead to criminal activity.

The vagueness of the Hague-based force’s remit sparked furious protests yesterday with critics warning that the EU snoopers threaten our right to free speech.'

Britain Faces Losing Power Over Its Own Budget Under New Plans For an 'Economic Government of the EU'

Britain could be forced to have its Budget signed off by European leaders under plans to impose an 'economic government of the EU', it emerged yesterday.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is pressing for 'oversight' of national economies to be included in controversial arrangements that were agreed by EU leaders yesterday.

She wants to introduce financial penalties for states with persistently high budget deficits, giving the EU a high degree of control.

This could see Britain forfeiting the £2billion annual 'structural funds' paid out to some of the nation's poorer areas by Brussels.'

Lords Pass Controversial Internet Piracy Bill

Legislation to tackle internet piracy, including bans for illegal file-sharers, has been passed by the Lords.

The Digital Economy Bill is now expected to be rushed through the Commons before the general election.

Peers had earlier rejected a bid by ministers to include wide-ranging powers over future online piracy law.

But despite criticism, the government said it was still committed to giving courts the power to block websites which are infringing copyright.

The bill, put forward by Business Secretary Lord Mandelson, has been welcomed by the music industry because it includes plans to suspend the internet accounts of people who persistently download material illegally.'

UK Taxpayer ‘WILL Pay Tens of Billions of Euros for Greek Rescue’

The UK taxpayer could still end up forking out for the bailout of debt-stricken Greece despite Treasury assurances, politicians warned last night. The fears come as eurozone finance ministers are today expected to discuss a package of aid worth tens of billions of euros for the ailing country. Philip Davies, Tory MP for Shipley, last night said it would be 'unacceptable' for UK taxpayers to be asked to pay any money to help Athens.

And he urged Gordon Brown to give a cast-iron guarantee that it would not happen.

He said: 'We always fear the worst with this Government. 'Perhaps the Prime Minister should give a categoric assurance that not one penny piece of UK taxpayers' money will go towards bailing out Greece.
'We've got enough financial problems of our own without having to bail out another irresponsible country.'

'Freedom Or Death' T-shirt Described As 'An Incitement To Terrorism' By Airport Security

A British holidaymaker was ordered to cover up his t-shirt by airport security guards at London’s Gatwick airport, who described the slogan “Freedom or Death” as “threatening” and “an incitement to terrorism”.

38-year-old father of two, Lloyd Berks, was ordered to obscure the shirt while passing through security gates on his way to a flight to Austria.'

Britain Grapples With Debt of Greek Proportions

As Greece’s debt troubles batter the euro, Britain has done its utmost to stay above the fray.

Until now, that is. Suddenly, investors are asking if Britain may soon face its own sovereign debt crisis if the government fails to slash its growing budget deficits quickly enough to escape the contagious fears of financial markets.'

Now Water Will Cost More in the Summer

Water is set to cost more during the summer following the introduction of a controversial seasonal tariff, it emerged yesterday.

Households in Sussex, Kent, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight will be the first to face the price hikes between June and September after Southern Water announced new rates for later this year.

Water watchdog OFWAT confirmed at least three other suppliers were also looking at seasonal tariffs as a way of encouraging people to use less water to prevent shortages.

But consumer groups raised concerns over the impact of the charges on families with low incomes and large households.'

Brown Sorry For UK Shipping Kids to Colonies

In an unprecedented move British Prime Minister Gordon Brown apologized on Wednesday for the UK's role in sending an estimated 150,000 children to former colonies, where they were abused.

Brown apologized for the treatment of children by the child migrants program — under which thousands of British children were sent to Commonwealth countries including Australia, Canada and New Zealand.'

The Israel Lobby – The Real Bullies in British Politics

The big row over allegations that British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is a bully serves as a timely reminder that bully-boy tactics are endemic in politics. Most party “hacks” cave in under the pressure of stick or carrot, and go for the juicy carrot.

A few, fortunately, stand up to bullies, and get a lot of stick.

One such is Baroness Jenny Tonge, often insulted, smeared and bullied; and recently sacked for the second time by her party's leadership.

In 2006, she was publicly rebuked after telling a fringe meeting at her party’s conference: “The pro-Israeli lobby has got its grips on the Western world, its financial grips. I think they have probably got a certain grip on our party.” It was so obviously true, but the Liberal Democrat leader at the time, Menzies Campbell, said he dissociated himself from her “offensive remarks” and “their clear anti-Semitic connotations”.

Who was being bullied here – Campbell by the Israel lobby? Or Tonge by Campbell? Both, I would say; and what a pathetic spectacle!

Back in 2004 Jenny Tonge was talking about Palestinian suicide bombers and said: "If I had to live in that situation – and I say that advisedly – I might just consider becoming one myself." Charles Kennedy, the then party leader, dismissed her from her front-bench spokes job, saying her remarks “are completely unacceptable. They are not compatible with Liberal Democrat Party policies and principles. There can be no justification, under any circumstances for taking innocent lives through terrorism."

He clearly knew and cared nothing about the “circumstances” in the occupied territories or who was responsible for most of the killing.

Readers will already know that a few days ago, as speculation mounted in the media about Israel’s past involvement in human organ theft and their unexpected presence in Haiti’s earthquake zone with state-of-the-art field medical facilities, she suggested "the IDF [Israel Defence Forces] and the Israeli Medical Association should establish an independent inquiry immediately to clear the names of the team in Haiti”. Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg called her comments "wrong, distasteful and provocative ... wholly unacceptable" and expressed concern for "the deep and understandable distress they have caused to the Jewish community..."

She was summarily sacked from her party spokes job in the House of Lords.

A petition, addressed to Clegg, asks for her to be re-instated: click here. Some of the signatories' comments are well worth reading and I hope Clegg and his senior colleagues take them on board. Here are a random sample:

“Please be clear about what Jenny Tonge has requested. It is essential not to be intimidated into reducing free speech.”

“Those who speak the truth are often vilified by those who would rather not hear it spoken.”

“...The allegations about organ theft from young Palestinians by Israel in 1991-92 require a meticulous international investigation.”

“This action against her is cowardly and despicable. Reinstate her to her post, with apology!”

“If there is to be peace in the Middle East (specifically in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict) it's vital we have a political party in the UK which is seen to uphold truth and impartiality rather than the 'usual suspects' who bend to pressure from Israel.”

“Israeli foreign policy will never change unless we stop turning a blind eye to the truth. Israel was incessant in it's tracking down of holocaust perpetrators but no-one dares to point out their own war crimes.”

“Don't allow the Israeli state to claim it speaks for all Jews – it doesn't. Its war crimes must be exposed.”

“If Israel have nothing to hide then they should be happy to investigate. The daily harassment of Palestinians and international NGOs working on the West Bank continues and the world stands by. Let those who speak out to request investigations of human rights violations by Israel be applauded not condemned.”

“No one should fear the cleansing light of truthful inquiry, unless they are despicable dwellers in deception and deceit.”

“I fully endorse this petition and am gravely disturbed by the fact that foreign powers should be allowed to meddle in the internal affairs of this country and its political structure.”

“High-tech IDF field hospitals with operating theatres, the lot, in Haiti when same IDF has targeted ambulances in Gaza, refused them access to the dying and injured, blown up hospitals, blasted the brains out of babies.”

“Nick Clegg ... please ... instead of targeting and blacklisting Baroness Tonge, please initiate an investigation into Israel's countless human rights violations. I am sick and tired of successive British governments' double standards and ongoing, unquestioning support for the State of Israel.”

“It's shocking politicians lack the moral backbone to confront the abuse shown to the Palestinans by the Jewish nation. It's a sickening betrayal of the Jews, murdered in WW2, that the nation of Israel is now doing the same thing...”

Billy Bragg in Facebook Protest As He Refuses to Pay Income Tax Unless RBS Bonuses are Curbed

Billy Bragg is urging the public to join him in refusing to pay their taxes unless ministers curb 'excessive' bonuses at Royal Bank of Scotland.
The singer and Left-wing activist has set up a campaign called NoBonus4RBS on the Facebook website to 'convince the Treasury to act'. The group, which had attracted 2,000 members last night, also calls on supporters to write to Alistair Darling expressing their anger.
RBS, which is 84 per cent owned by the taxpayer following a string of bailouts, is expected to pay up to £1.5billion in bonuses to its investment bankers.

Iran Says US, UK, Canada Assist Afghan Drug Trade

A senior Iranian anti-drug official has accused the US, Britain and Canada of playing a major role in Afghanistan's lucrative drug trade.

On the sidelines of an anti-drug conference in Tehran, deputy head of Iran's Drug Control Headquarters Taha Taheri said that Western powers are aiding the drug trade in Afghanistan.

"According to our indisputable information, the presence of the United States, Britain and Canada has not reduced the dug trade and the three countries have had major roles in the distribution of drugs," IRIB quoted Taheri as saying on Thursday.'

Food Costs to Soar as Big Freeze Deepens

Britons have been warned to brace themselves for an increase in food prices as plunging temperatures leave farmers unable to harvest vegetables and hauliers struggle to distribute fresh produce.

Gordon Brown, who will chair a meeting of the Cobra emergency committee early this week to discuss the freeze, was today forced to reassure the country that it would not run out of gas or grit for its roads during the coldest weather in 30 years.'

UK Gas Supply Dwindles as Country Experiences Sub-Zero Weather

The UK faces the possibility of gas supply crisis as the worst cold season in 30 years hit the country.

The National Grid earlier issued a warning that this winter season’s energy demand is threatening to exceed the current available gas supply. The organization advised big companies to reduce their consumption and requested to purchase more gas from abroad.

The alert provoked the cost of gas to increase by 70 per cent, and raised concerns that households and businesses could soon be affected by supply shortage if the sub-zero weather persists for the rest of January.'

Threats Shut Yemen’s U.S., U.K. Embassies

The U.S. and Britain closed their embassies in Yemen on Sunday in the face of al-Qaida threats, after both countries announced an increase in aid to the government to fight the terror group linked to the failed attempt to bomb a U.S. airliner on Christmas.'

Comment  by Michael Rivero of whatreallyhappened

Shutting one's embassy is what one does right before a war is declared against the country in which that embassy exists.

However, unfortunately, we are not declaring a war against a country per se, but against its people.

"President" Selah and his minions are known to operate one of the most corrupt governments in the Middle East. There are staggering levels of poverty and illiteracy here. Selah and the rest of his government have absolutely no interest in creating some degree of hope for their people.

Up till now, Saleh was "our man in Yemen", because the US could generally count on him to stomp out any opposition movements rather successfully.

However, when peaceful revolution becomes impossible, violent revolution becomes inevitable, and this is precisely what we are seeing happen now.

The US should have been approaching Yemen's government with a carrot/stick approach in terms of encouraging all parties to provide a better infrastructure, more education, and jobs for their people. Of course, that would have been logical.

When you don't have much to lose but your life (and that's not worth one heck of a lot), any organized insurgency can start looking attractive.

But the current situation in Yemen didn't happen overnight.
Someone in the US State Department and the Pentagon should have seen this coming a mile away.
