A mother who reprimanded her children at a supermarket was secretly followed by an off-duty policeman and interrogated by fellow officers who reported her to social services.
The 34-year-old, who has had no previous problems with the police, was horrified when she was visited at home by two uniformed officers six weeks after the incident.
They said she had been seen by the off-duty officer who had trailed the family to their house – a 15-minute walk away – to get their address.'

'Uppity' Parents Who Challenge the Authorities 'Risk Having Children Taken Away'
Local authorities are using proceedings in the family courts as "retaliation" against parents who question doctors' diagnoses of their children or challenge other decisions, according to an MP.
John Hemming, the Liberal Democrat MP for Birmingham Yardley, who coordinates a campaign called Justice for Families, which calls for reform of the family court system, said that the practice was becoming common.

Parents Banned from Taking Pictures of Their Own Children at Sports Day
Mrs Ethelston's Church of England Primary School, in Uplyme, Devon, prohibited photos and video filming, claiming it was due to changes in child protection and images legislation.
It is the first time the school has taken such measures.
Parents criticised the move and said they felt there was no legal reason why they cannot take photos for personal use.
Jane Souter, who has a son at the school and is chair of the Parents Teachers and Friends Association, said: "It is a shame but that is the way it is all going now, you are not allowed to do a lot of things because of rules and regulations.

International Womens Day of Hate

International Women's Day (March 8) is a longtime Communist propaganda gimmick. What does it say about our world when it is enshrined in mainstream culture? Clearly, Communism isn't dead; it has just morphed into other forms. IWD pretends to celebrate women but this poster near my Winnipeg home shows an ugly, surly shrew brandishing a hammer. The caption reads, "if I only had a hammer.." She'd what? Hit men over the head? Tear down society? Smash women who want husbands and children? This isn't far fetched. Under the dance notice, the poster actually says: "Come smash patriarchy at midnight!"

Wronged Parents Need the Oxygen of Publicity
"They're ripping lives apart and no one knows,” says one kind colleague who has rashly offered to return some of the phone calls I get from people trying to get their children back from social services, or to stop them being taken away. She is staggered by the volume of misery, powerlessness and desperation that this issue provokes almost every day. And that it is almost invisible outside.

UK Government Tells Parents: Avoid Morality in Sex Lessons
PARENTS should avoid trying to convince their teenage children of the difference between right and wrong when talking to them about sex, a new government leaflet is to advise.
Instead, any discussion of values should be kept “light” to encourage teenagers to form their own views, according to the brochure, which one critic has called “amoral”.

Parents Believe Watching Television Is Good For Children
Despite the negativity often associated with children watching television, eight out of 10 parents questioned believed it has a positive effect on their child's development, including helping them to expand their imagination (63 per cent) and broaden their vocabulary (60 per cent).Three quarters of parents do not feel guilty about their child watching television and when appropriately managed and supervised, believe it can have a positive influence in a child's life, according to psychologist Tanya Byron.
The report, Children and Television Today, surveyed 1,880 parents of children aged between two and 11, through Mumsnet.com, a parenting website. The study was commissioned by Freeview, the digital television service.
