According to a spokesman for Irish Justice Minister Dermot Ahern, the Irish government had the “gravest concern” that information supplied to Israeli officials could be used to forge passports for use by intelligence agencies.
“It may well be the case that Israel provides data protections which meet EU standards,” the spokesman said.
“But the Minister believes the EU committee has to take very serious account of the forgery of EU passports - including Irish ones - by Israel in recent months,” he added.'

The example and guidance of the U.S. and the EU would lead Ireland down the road of profits and homogenized life, if Ireland really wants to sacrifice it's individuality, and it may.
