Schools Told to Set up 'Quarantine Rooms' for Swine Flu Pupils

Private schools should set up “quarantine rooms” for pupils suspected of having swine flu, according to legal advice issued to the Independent Schools Council today.

Pupils across the country may have to sit exams in isolation, at home, or be given grades based on past work rather than take exams this summer if the swine flu epidemic escalates. If the situation becomes extreme the Department of Health could issue an order to close all schools.
