Israeli troops have fired at a Lebanese Army unit fortifying posts in the area of Doheira near Lebanon's southern border, reports say.

"The army received around fourteen Israeli bullets in the area where they are positioned in Doheira,” dpa quoted a Lebanese security source as saying.

The Pentagon has censored yet another book written by a former intelligence agent, claiming the book posed a threat to national security.

The author of the book, Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer, is a former intelligence officer who returned to active duty for a 30-month period following the September 11, 2001 attacks.

During the period Shaffer completed two tours of Afghanistan.

The book, called Operation Dark Heart, is a memoir of secret operations carried out by the US in Afghanistan and Pakistan and highlights the United States' lost chance to win the war against the Taliban.

Iran's nuclear point man says Tehran expects the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to "follow up" on a resolution to inspect Israel's nuclear facilities.

US-led Strike Kills 70 in Afghanistan

A US airstrike has reportedly left 70 people dead in southeastern Afghanistan as the war-ravaged country votes to elect a new parliament.

According to Afghan officials, the incident took place in province of Paktia on Saturday when a Taliban convoy came under attack.

Provincial officials say the victims were all militants, however, locals and eyewitnesses say the attack claimed civilian casualties.'
