Before the hearing, she said that she could not understand why complaints against her were being heard.

But the chair of the GMC panel said there serious concerns about the potential risk to patients and her fitness to practice would continued to be reviewed.

One of the complaints was on the content of Dr Myhill's website, which warned patients against oral contraceptives, the MMR triple vaccine as well as mammogram tests and biopsies for cancer.

FDA Admits Millions of Patients Prescribed Illegal, Unapproved Medications by Doctors

Doctors in the United States wrote more than four million prescriptions last year for nitroglycerin tablets, heart drugs placed under the tongue to reduce the chest pain angina or to stop a heart attack.

But the majority of the drugs sold had not been approved for sale, nor had their safety and effectiveness been vetted, by the Food and Drug Administration.

And many doctors, who discovered only last week that pharmacies were giving their patients unproved heart tablets, now say they have no way of knowing whether patients have suffered unnecessarily as a result.'

Doctors Vaccinate For Profit

Years ago children were sent up chimneys or sold as servants to earn their parents extra money. Now they are being vaccinated by doctors, to boost their takings. Doctors, Governments and Pharma see our children as their property and are making thousands of pounds/dollars/euros out of them right under our noses. Half of GPs Refuse Swine Flu Vaccine Over Testing Fears

Up to half of family doctors do not want to be vaccinated against swine flu.
GPs will be first in the line for the jabs when they become available but many will decline, even though they will be offering the vaccine to their patients.
More than two thirds of those who will turn the jab down believe it has not been tested enough. Most also believe the flu has turned out to be so mild in the vast majority of cases that the vaccine is not needed.

Doctors Told to Detain Children in Hospital if They Suspect Abuse

Doctors should detain a child in hospital if they suspect abuse and alert key agencies, such as social services and police, according to guidance published today.

Recommendations on child protection issued by the British Medical Association — the first to focus specifically on the role of doctors — say that GPs and consultants should take immediate action when dealing with children who may be at risk.

They include keeping a child in hospital against parental wishes if it appears that injuries are not accidental and the child may be subjected to further harm. The guidelines also advise that in such cases it may be in the best interests of the child to undertake an examination without explicit parental consent.

GPs to Get Bonuses for Giving Teenagers Contraceptive Implants And Jabs Without Informing Parents

GPs will be paid bonuses for persuading teenagers to have long-lasting contraceptive implants and jabs without their parents' knowledge, it has emerged.

From next year, doctors are to receive the payments for encouraging young women to use long-acting methods of contraception rather than taking the Pill each day.

They will be pressed to tell those prescribed the morning-after pill that an injection or coil would be better to prevent pregnancies.
