US Soldier Ordered to Leave Children Behind

A US soldier who tried to help injured Iraqi civilians after a US apache strike says his superior ordered him not to tend to the injured children on the scene.

Ethan McCord, a US infantry soldier, was one of the six troopers who were dispatched to the scene after the apache helicopters killed a dozen people, including two Reuters staff, in Baghdad.

"When I came on the scene I saw the bodies, I could hear a child crying, so the crying was coming from the van so I immediately went up to the van and when I looked inside I saw a girl who's about three years of age, she had a belly wound, and glass in her eyes and in her hair," McCord told Press TV in an exclusive interview on Sunday.

"The team leader who was standing there told me I needed to stop worrying about these motherf$@%ing kids," said McCord, a father of two.'

US Cutting Gaza Lifeline

No doubt at the instigation of the Israeli government, the Obama administration has authorized the United States Army Corps of Engineers to design a vertical underground wall under the border between Egypt and Gaza.
In March, 2009 the United States provided the government of Egypt with $32 million in March, 2009 for electronic surveillance and other security devices to prevent the movement of food, merchandise and weapons into Gaza. Now details are emerging about an underground steel wall that wil be 6-7 miles long and extend 55 feet straight down into the desert sand.

The steel wall will be made of super-strength steel put together in a jigsaw puzzle fashion. It will be bomb proof and can not be cut or melted. It will be "impenetrable," and reportedly will take 18 months to construct.'

Obama Blocks Probes into Afghan Massacre

The US administration has repeatedly blocked probes into alleged mass killing of Afghan war prisoners by a US-backed Afghan warlord during the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan.

The New York Times quoted Friday US government and human rights officials as saying that the Bush administration had failed to investigate the mass executions of up to 2,000 Taliban POW's by the forces of General Abdul Rashid Dostum in September 2001.

Meanwhile, Obama administration officials said Friday they had no grounds to investigate into the case because only foreigners were involved and the alleged massacre occurred in a foreign country.

US Threatens to Invade Eritrea

The United States has reportedly threatened to invade Eritrea and subject it to “the same fate as Taliban-controlled Afghanistan in the wake of the September 11 attacks” for providing support to the al-Shabaab resistance movement in Somalia, which the US has since attempted to link with al-Qaeda.

U.S. Shipped 989 Munitions Containers to Israel Week Before Gaza Invasion

In the dying days of the Bush administration, and a week before Israel launched an aerial bombing campaign, followed by a land invasion of the Gaza Strip, the U.S. military shipped 989 containers of munitions to Israel.Each container was 20-feet long with a total estimated net weight of 14,000 tonnes.

The shipment reportedly reached Israel last month at Ashod, 40 kiometres north of Gaza. The huge arsenal of munitions will replenish those expended in the Gaza War.

According to Amnesty International in the UK, the shipment included white phosphorous.

UN Accuses US of One Million Iraqi Deaths

UN General Assembly President Miguel d’Escoto Brockmann is calling for an independent probe into human rights violations as a result of the US invasion of Iraq, Democracy Now! reported Thursday.

“Independent experts estimate that over one million Iraqis have lost their lives as a direct result of the illegal invasion of their country," said UN General Assembly President Miguel d’Escoto Brockmann.
