"Restoring the credibility of the peace process mainly requires compelling… Israel to comply with its obligations and commitments, particularly to cease all settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territory, especially in and around east al-Quds (Jerusalem)," acting PA Chief Mahmoud Abbas told the United Nations General Assembly on Saturday, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Abbas accused Israel of following policies controlled by what he called the 'mentality of expansion and domination,' noting such a mentality has created dangerous problems for Palestinians.'
