Brazil Hospitals Get Bulletproof Makeover

The Brazilian government says it plans to fortify public hospitals in the city of Rio de Janeiro to protect patients and medical staff from stray bullets.

The city has been plagued by gun battles between criminal gangs.

The health ministry says five hospitals will be protected with concrete walls, steel shutters and bulletproof glass.
