The UN Security Council has voted to call for an immediate, durable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip leading to the full withdrawal of Israeli forces.
However, the United States abstained from voting on the ceasefire resolution while all other fourteen members voted in favor of Resolution 1860.

Just shows what a useless organisation the UN really is when it takes them this long to come up with a ceasefire resolution which will be just as ineffective as the countless UN resolutions passed against Israel in the last 30 years, every one of which Israel has totally ignored.
