Connecting The Dots

The recent exposing of the insertion of 28 million copies of the movie "Obsession" into the delivery of daily U.S. newspapers prompted me to watch the movie. I had heard of it, but never watched it because, from the words of people who had seen it, the piece was considered a bigoted film that had no merit as a scholarly or historical work. Three days ago, I watched it and was not disappointed: it depicted all the same stereotypical anti-Muslim hatred that is in vogue today in the U.S. The main difference between Obsession and the Geert Wilders’ film Fitna is the length. Wilders only put 17 minutes on film, where Obsession extends the bigoted diatribe to about 60 minutes.
I will give only a few lowlights of the movie. The "historical" proof shown could have been written by Walt Disney. For one, we hear the commentator speaking of the "Arab media." There was film of a crowd of angry Muslims chanting "Death to America." However, most people would not look at the small lettering at the top depicting the origin of the piece: Iranian Television. Unless things have changed of which I am not aware, Iran is not an Arab country.

  1. There's no doubt that there's manipulation going on regarding Islam but you need to be very careful in your defence of it. It is by far the worst of the mind control/prison religions. The reason it is being so manipulated is because it's so easy to do. Have you studied the Koran, Hadith or Sira? The first part is essentially where all the 'love and peace' stuff is. This was written while Mohammed had only a handful of followers and was residing in Mecca. He then moved to Medina where he essentially became a warlord and committed unbelievable atrocities. It's undeniable that he committed murder, including mass murder, condoned rape and plunder, condoned lying to achieve his aims (taqiya) as well as the dubious marriage to a 6 year old girl who he then had sex with at the age of 9. None of it's pretty. There's a good reason why the Jihadists have the upper hand when it comes to the matter of the koran and that's the concept of naskh. This means abrogation which in turn means that all the earlier peaceful verses are abrogated by the later violent and intolerant stuff. For more details I suggest taking a look at some of the many sites run by apostates of Islam. Indeed if you doubt any of what I've said you could earn yourself $50,000.

The point I'm trying to make is that things aren't quite as simple as many try and make out regarding Islam. Yes we're being manipulated into an unnecessary conflict with them but it does nobody any good to misunderstand the essential nature of the beliefs of a large number of Muslims. Mohammed is revered by Muslims as the perfect man to be emulated for all time and yet he was undoubtedly a pretty awful human being not worthy of such reverence.

If you do follow the link below follow the link on that page to the bit about the Golden Rule. There's a good reason why the history of Islam is awash with blood (ask the Hindhus and Sikhs of India). I don't want to live under Sharia Law (or anything like it) or the New World Order.
