Seoul Probes US Agent Orange Site

South Korea has begun the inspection of a site where US military reportedly dumped a highly toxic defoliant, called Agent Orange, during the Vietnam War in the 1970s. South Korea's environment ministry says he has sent a team of experts to the US military base in Waegwan, southeast of the capital, Seoul.

Investigators would check soil and underground water around the camp.

Reports of the dumping of Agent Orange surfaced last week after three US Army veterans said they had been ordered to bury 250 drums of the defoliant at the camp in 1978.
