Hillary Clinton was being tipped last night for a top job in Barack Obama's Cabinet as America's next Secretary of State.
The surprise move is being seen in Washington as an attempt to heal the rift in the Democratic Party caused by the hard-fought battle for the presidential nomination earlier this year.

Supermarkets have been accused of demonstrating the sort of greed that triggered the banking industry crisis, by Britain's farmers.
Tesco is particularly in the firing line with claims from the president of the National Farmers' Union that it is using 'outrageous bully boy tactics' to cut prices paid to suppliers.
All the major supermarkets have been calling in suppliers in the last few weeks to demand cuts in prices following the reduction in the cost of oil and commodity crops. However, NFU president, Peter Kendall, said Tesco, in particular, has gone too far.

Last year, I wrote that if Uncle Sam gets its way, we’d all be on no-fly lists, unless the government gives us permission to leave—or re-enter—the United States. That day has now arrived, but in addition to obtaining Big Brother’s permission to travel internationally, a final rule pursuant to the U.S. Transportation Security Administration’s “Secure Flight” initiative says we must now get it to travel from state-to-state.”
For now, permission to travel applies only to air transport. However, the TSA could of course extend it to train, bus, or auto travel anytime. (Just imagine TSA checkpoints on interstates at every state border.) And, while the TSA hasn’t announced the effective date of the rule, it did reveal what information it would need in order to leave, say, San Francisco, to fly to Las Vegas for a weekend on the Strip.
At some point in the future, you’ll need to reveal your name, gender, and date of birth when you make a domestic airline reservation. The airline will contact TSA to determine if you’re cleared to board. If you’re on any of TSA’s watchlists (which include such deceased “terrorists” as Saddam Hussein, along with live ones such as Sen. Exclusion Zone Sought For Oxford's Animal Lab
The University of Oxford is seeking a permanent exclusion zone around its animal research laboratory, which opened yesterday.
A temporary injunction already in place restricts people from demonstrating within a certain radius of its Biomedical Sciences Building but the university wants to make this permanent at a court hearing scheduled for next year.

Doctors have been urged to be more cautious in offering cancer treatment to terminally-ill patients as chemotherapy can often do more harm than good, a study suggests.
Patients with incurable cancers were promised much greater access to the latest drugs which could offer them extra months or years of life by a Department of Health review last week.
Such medicines are often taken or injected as part of a “cocktail” of chemotherapy drugs.
But the National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcome and Death (NCEPOD) found that more than four in ten patients who received chemotherapy towards the end of life suffered potentially fatal effects from the drugs, and treatment was “inappropriate” in nearly a fifth of cases.

Women in the Netherlands deemed “unfit mothers” may soon be forced to take contraception, if a draft bill currently before the Dutch parliament is passed. The bill “targets women who have been the subject of judicial intervention due to their bad parenting,” says its author, a member of the Netherlands’ socialist Labour Party.
Under the proposed legislation, a woman judged unfit who refuses to take contraception and becomes pregnant would have her child taken away at birth. The infant then would be placed in a foster home.

Woman Found Hanged Is 24th Young Suicide Victim In Bridgend in Two Years
Lisa Dalton, a 25-year-old mother-of-one, had been battling against anorexia since she was a teenager.
She was discovered in her two-bedroomed semi-detached home - just weeks after being released from hospital.
Friends said Lisa's little girl Gracie was being cared for by her grandmother while she was being treated for anorexia.
A neighbour said: "She was a loving mother and wherever she went she had little Gracie with her. She was lovely and would always say hello but she had ongoing problems because of her weight.
"In the last couple of months people had remarked how much better she looked as she put on a bit of weight. But since the summer she had been in and out of hospital for treatment. What has happened is awful - she was so young and had a beautiful little girl."
Police confirmed Lisa had been found hanged inside the property. Gracie was not there at the time.
Another 23 young people aged 15 to 27 have been found hanged in the borough of Bridgend since the start of 2007.
But South Wales police say there is no link between the deaths.
A spokesman said: "We were called to a report of a sudden death of a 25 year old woman in Bridgend. The death is not being treated as suspicious. A file is being compiled on behalf of the coroner.
"There are clearly similarities between recent sudden deaths in Bridgend but we can confirm our investigations have by no means uncovered any criminal evidence that links them."

The publicly-funded organisation’s views have been adopted by Caerphilly council in South Wales for a leaflet advising staff on how to deal with the public.
In a section on what words or phrases not to use to avoid causing offence, the leaflet solemnly informs the council’s 9,000 workers: ‘The idea of “British” implies a false sense of unity – many Scots, Welsh and Irish resist being called British and the land denoted by the term contains a wide variety of cultures, languages and religions.’
The suggestion the word ‘British’ should be avoided appears alongside similar sections which warn that ‘half-caste’ implies ‘a person is not whole and so should be avoided’ and that ‘negro’ has ‘racist overtones and is linked with the slave trade’.
The man behind the advice is former Labour minister Ron Davies – who lost his Cabinet job in 1998 after what he described as a ‘moment of madness’, when he was robbed after meeting a man on Clapham Common, a well-known gay haunt.

The Czech Republic could be "a bigger problem than Ireland" for the ratification of the Lisbon treaty, German social-democrat MEP Jo Leinen told EUobserver after returning from Prague on a delegation divided by its approach to the problem.

Israeli occupation forces on Monday detained and beat up three Palestinian workers while en route to work in the 1948 lands at the pretext they had no work permits.Local sources said that the three workers, in their early twenties, were attempting to enter the 1948 lands near Na'lin village, north of Ramallah, when the soldiers intercepted them and pointed guns at them.They said that the soldiers told the workers to utter insulting remarks about themselves, which they refused. The local sources said that the soldiers then used their rifle butts and rocks to beat the workers and break their limbs.

Jack Straw, the Justice Secretary, has ordered an investigation into a legal loophole that allows lenders to repossess a home without a court order.
The inquiry was announced in response to a High Court ruling that supported a decision by GMAC-RFC, the General Motors mortgage lender, to sell the property of a borrower who was in arrears. It confirmed that mortgage lenders could sell a property without a court repossession order if a borrower fell two months into arrears.

Auschwitz Expert: Blueprints Found in Berlin Not of Death Camp
A leading expert on Auschwitz on Sunday denigrated the importance of the finding of plans for the construction of the extermination camp, which was reported this weekend in the German tabloid Bild. He said the documents have been known to scholars for many years and that they were not plans to build the extermination camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau, but rather earlier plans for the building of a forced labor camp. Prof. Robert Jan van Pelt, a internationally acknowledged expert on the planning and construction of Auschwitz, said that based on what he had seen on the Internet, there seemed to be nothing new about the documents.
He was one of several scholars who expressed doubts about the significance of the Bild story. Van Pelt, an architectural historian, said that copies of the plans of the stages of the camp's construction were also in the archive of the Polish National Museum at Auschwitz and in an archive in Moscow. He said that the source of the new copies was unclear since, according to Bild, the plans were found in an apartment in Berlin, whereas copies that were in the SS offices in Berlin were destroyed by Allied bombing in 1944. Unauthorised patrols of several northern Italian cities have been underway for the last year and authorities have turned a blind eye to them as concerned locals fight back against rising crime rates.

Eating powerful foods such as chili or garlic may change how we smell, but it does disguise our underlying genetically-determined aroma, tests on mice have shown. Creatures who were given strong-smelling foods were still recognised by their peers.
The signature smells may have evolved to help in choosing mates and marking out territories.
Jae Kwak, lead author of the study at Monell Chemical Senses Center in Philadelphia, said that the research suggested that "odourprinting" could soon have a practical use.

US Jets Pound Pakistan, Kill Civilians
At least seven civilians are killed and several others injured after US fighter jets pounded Pakistan's Tirah valley near the Afghan border. The fighter jets on Sunday night targeted a group of 40 civilian pedestrians on the Morga mountains in Tirah valley near the Khyber region, the Frontier Post reported on early Monday. Article 61: Lawful Rebellion ‘To Stop The Final Evolution of Slavery’. Part 1: The Truth About MP's and Parliament

Lets take council tax as an example; council tax is a statutory instrument that came into force on 1st April 93. The statute that created this was the Local Government Finance Act 1992. This is a created legal document; a contract, a monetary contract that needs your consent!

When you do not pay you suffer a penalty, a forfeit by way of money, your goods or your liberty, surrendered as punishment for breach of contract.

Historians and constitutional experts will tell you that parliament was devised to give the people a voice, the house’s of representation, where the members are the representatives of the people, enacting laws on behalf of the people, under the mandate of the people, asserted by a general election, to the overall majority party winning the election.

Since founding the TPUC some 18 moths ago now, my life has been a rollercoaster ride, with many ups and downs. I have found myself amerced in, not only the history of this country and its laws, but also more importantly one specific article found residing in a document written over 700 years ago.
In its essence article 61 is a security clause, a clause to allow the people to enter into lawful rebellion against tyranny, miss governance and most importantly slavery, rebellion and not revolution for article 61 allows for ‘NO’ violence to be offered against anyone at any time, this is why it was called the security clause.
Article 61; Lawful Rebellion is a ‘LAWFUL ACTION’ under the common law and can be invoked by anyone who resides in this country. This article does not give precedence to where you were born it gives’s precedence to where you live and if you live in this country then you can use it. This article is for all the people without exception and allows for lawfully;
1. To hinder the people of miss governance in anyway - strictly without the use of violence.
Imagine if our country was a ‘car’. Who would be the engine? And what happens to the car if the engine stops working?
Everything in this country is operated by the people of this country, everything is in ‘OUR’ control; every mode of transport, every mode of communication, every watt of electricity and every mode of essential service, EVERYTHING is in the control of the people and everything can ‘STOP’ at the will of the people.
Who really has control of this country; the government or the people?
We the working people of this country are treated like a unwanted necessity by those who miss govern us, they don't want us, but they need us and at a whim we could apply a strangle hold upon this country, the likes that has never been seen before and it can be done completely lawfully.

This report will shock and upset some; it is one I have put off for over 4 years. After struggling with it I have decided now is the time to write it. One such truth is the foundation for such a move of the Devil must be underway even as we speak if this is to happen. Or we simply are not in the end days. Plan Leaked For Civilian Security Force?
The official website of President-Elect Barack Obama, Change.gov, originally announced that Obama would "require" all middle school through college students to participate in community service programs; but after a flurry of blogs protested children being drafted into Obama's proposed youth corps, the website's wording was softened.
Originally, under the tab "America Serves" Change.gov read, "President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in under served schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps.
"Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year," the site announced.

Report Identifies UK Terrorist Enclaves
The document, which was drawn up by the intelligence branch of the Ministry of Defence, MI5 and Special Branch, states that "some thousands" of extremists are active in the UK. They are predominantly UK-born and aged between 18 and 30, and many are believed to have been trained in overseas terrorist camps.
Under the heading "International Terrorism", the report, which is marked "restricted" states: "For the foreseeable future the UK will continue to be a high-priority target for international terrorists aligned with al-Qaeda. It will face a threat from British nationals, including Muslim converts, and UK-based foreign terrorists, as well as terrorists planning attacks from abroad."
The report states that the threat from the Islamist extremist community in the UK is "diverse and widely distributed" but adds that the numbers of terrorist in Britain is "difficult to judge".

Lord Mandelson did discuss European Union trade issues with Oleg Deripaska, the Russian oligarch, despite his denials that they had ever talked about the subject.
The business secretary, who at the time was the EU’s trade commissioner, wanted to know whether Deripaska supported or opposed tariffs on Russian timber exports to Europe.
Mandelson has said he never discussed EU matters with Deripaska. However, a source close to Deripaska said they had discussed wood tariffs, the subject of EU talks with Russian officials.

Obama has repeatedly called on Europe to “share the burden” in the conflict and it is expected to be the central theme of his first visit after his inauguration next year.
Whitehall and diplomatic sources have revealed that Brown is to act as Obama’s agent in Europe, calling on other Nato leaders to find more soldiers and resources for the Afghan conflict.

The company was involved at the time in a controversial plan to build a £300m underground gas storage facility in Lancashire, close to Straw’s constituency.
The company’s donation for the function at the Blackburn Rovers football stadium, Ewood Park, is under scrutiny because it plans to resubmit its application for the facility in the next few weeks.
Opponents of the scheme say Straw should never have accepted the money.

Banks Refuse To Pass On Interest Rate Cuts Claiming They Are Not "Charities"
High Street banks have told Alistair Darling they will not pass on any further interest rate cuts to consumers and businesses.
The banks have warned the chancellor they are “not charities”. They said they could not afford further to reduce mortgage payments and interest rates to businesses if, as expected, the Bank of England continued to cut rates as the economy fell deeper into recession.
The tough line from the banks will anger taxpayers, coming just a month after the government injected £37 billion into Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), HBOS and Lloyds TSB to protect them from the credit crunch. Northern Rock and Bradford & Bingley have already been rescued by the taxpayer.

'Elite' MPs' £13,000 Salary Hike Will Land Taxpayers With £1.5m Bill
MPs were at the centre of a new pay row last night over plans to spend £1.5million on a fresh layer of Commons bureaucracy that would give some backbenchers a £13,000 salary hike.
Plans have been put forward to create new Commons committees with more staff, travel and accommodation costs, as well as extra pay for an elite group of MPs.
The huge package - to be formally proposed by Commons Leader Harriet Harman on Wednesday - includes a £1million network of eight new English 'regional committees' to oversee Labour's controversial English regional development agencies.
Each would be made up of nine MPs, including a chairman earning up to £13,713 on top of the normal MP's salary of about £62,000.
Ms Harman will also propose eight new 'grand committees' for the English regions outside London, at a cost of more than £300,000. The chairman of each would receive a pay-hike of up to £5,200.
Gordon Brown has specifically requested a new 'Speaker's Conference', costing an estimated £261,075 over the next two years, to try to increase election turn out and regenerate public interest in politics.
