Prepping for an Israeli False Flag Attack to Justify Iran Attack?

A former fighter in Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) turned US spy offered a rare glance into one of the most complex countries in the Middle East.

During a conference held at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy on Friday, Reza Kahlili (pseudonym) estimated that Iran will eventually attack Israel, Europe and the Persian Gulf states. He called for a preemptive strike on the regime in Tehran, but not on the Iranian people or the country's infrastructure.

"This is a messianic regime. There should be no doubt – they are going to commit the most horrendous suicide bombing in human history. They will attack Israel, European capitals, and (the) Persian Gulf region at the same time," said Kahlili in one of his first public appearances to promote his new book "A Time To Betray: The Astonishing Double Life of a CIA Agent inside the Revolutionary Guards of Iran".'

Suffer These Crimes in Oakland? Don't Call the Cops

Oakland's police chief is making some dire claims about what his force will and will not respond to if layoffs go as planned.

Chief Anthony Batts listed exactly 44 situations that his officers will no longer respond to and they include grand theft, burglary, car wrecks, identity theft and vandalism. He says if you live and Oakland and one of the above happens to you, you need to let police know on-line.

Some 80 officers were to be let go at midnight last night if a last-minute deal was not reached. That's about ten percent of the work force.

Hundreds of people could fall under suspicion simply because they are related to someone in the criminal DNA database. Giant Genetically Modified Salmon Coming

Genetic modification takes a step away from agricultural crops such as corn and soy and turns its focus to creating salmon for human consumption. The stress from over fishing and the long maturation growth of salmon (taking as long as three years to fully develop) proved the ideal target to allow the continuation of high production and consumption behavior.

The genetically modified salmon, called AquAdvantage, has been implemented with genetic material from an eel-like species called ocean pout that grows all year round. The splice in genetic makeup allows the salmon to reach full size in 18 months. Being genetically modified, the GM salmon is sterile, and hopes to offer a safe way to breed in fish farms without the threat to the refined genes to become integrated into the ecological gene pool.'

Israeli Navy Surrounds Aid Vessel

The Israeli Navy reportedly blockades a Libyan-chartered aid vessel which has set sail for the blockaded Gaza Strip, issuing threats against the convoy.

"Israeli warships are surrounding and threatening the cargo ship. There is a real threat," said Yussef Sawan, the executive director of the Tripoli-based Gaddafi International Charity and Development Association, AFP reported.

The organization tasked the seaborne mission on board the Moldova-flagged cargo ship, Amalthea, to break Tel Aviv's years-long siege of Gaza. The vessel is carrying 12 crewmembers and 2,000 tons of relief supplies from Greece to the impoverished sliver.'

Amiri Kidnapped by US, Saudi Forces

Abducted Iranian scholar Shahram Amiri says he was kidnapped by the US security agents in collaboration with Saudi forces, while he was on a pilgrimage in the holy city of Medina in June 2009.

However, in the latest audio message obtained by Iran's intelligence sources, Amiri insisted that he was offered $10 million to appear on CNN and announce that he had willingly defected to the US.

Holding the US accountable for Amiri's abduction, the Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the Swiss charge d'affaires, whose embassy represents US interests in Iran, earlier this month and handed over new documents related to the abduction of the Iranian national by the CIA.'

This amounts to almost €45 BILLION for starters.

When we take into account that there are only 4 MILLION people in the Republic of Ireland (The South), then we can safely say that each person, man, woman and child, including pensioners, those with mental and physical disabilities and the close to 460,000 officially unemployed, that means that each of us have to pay a minimum of €11,250 to date. This is despite of course the fact that we were told that all this money given to the banks, by us, would be returned as profit to the people. Apparently that is no longer the case so why are we giving them more?'

Raoul Moat: Questions for Police After Claim Gunman was 'Executed'

There was renewed criticism of how the gunman evaded capture during seven days on the run in Rothbury, Northumberland, and the police’s handling of the stand-off that ended with Moat shooting himself dead.

It emerged on Sunday that Moat had been seen walking through the village in daylight a few hours before he was found and that police had overlooked a bright orange T-shirt that the fugitive had been wearing but discarded.

Moat’s brother, Angus, also claimed that the police refused his offer to act as a mediator during the stand-off and suggested that his brother may have shot himself through an “involuntary reaction” after being hit by Tasers. He likened it to “a public execution”.'

Used in yards, farms and parks throughout the world, Roundup has long been a top-selling weed killer. But now researchers have found that one of Roundup's inert ingredients can kill human cells, particularly embryonic, placental and umbilical cord cells.

The new findings intensify a debate about so-called "inerts" the solvents, preservatives, surfactants and other substances thaat manufacturers add to pesticides. Nearly 4,000 inert ingredients are approved for use by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.'

However, the LM stays in virtually the same orientation in all three pictures, as does a row of 10 or so little rocks located between the LM's feet and left of frame. In reality, such a minimal orientation change of the LM would require the distant mountain to change far less than the LM itself – not more.'

Belgium's Plan to Wash its Dead Down the Drain: Bodies Would be Dissolved in Caustic Solution... and Flushed Into the Sewer

It could hardly be said to be the most dignified of send-offs.
Undertakers in Belgium plan to eschew traditional burials and cremations and start dissolving corpses instead.
The move is intended to tackle a lack of burial space and environmental concerns as 573lbs of carbon dioxide are released by each cremated corpse.

Under the process, known as resomation, bodies are treated in a steel chamber with potassium hydroxide at high pressure and a temperature of 180c (350f).

The raised pressure and temperature means the body reaches a similar end point as in standard cremation — just bones left to be crushed up — in two to three hours.

Six states in America have passed legislation to allow resomation and the Scottish company behind the technology says it is in talks to allow the process in the UK.

Police are investigating the apparent suicide of four young men in Dundee in the space of 10 days, it has emerged.

On Thursday 1 July Anthony Riddell, 17, was found dead in a wooded area in the city. Two days later Ragan Thomson, 18, was found dead in the same area.

On Saturday, the body of 23-year-old Steven Loftus was found in a local park and a few hours later the body of a 22-year-old man was found in the grounds of a country estate.

Police are not connecting the deaths.

It is understood all four men hanged themselves.'

Texas Nurse Prosecuted for Daring to Report Actions of Bad Doctor

A nurse recently found herself facing felony prosecution for making an anonymous complaint about the unsafe practices of a doctor at the hospital where she worked in the small town of Kermit, Texas.

Anne Mitchell and two fellow nurses became concerned about the conduct of Dr. Rolando G. Arafiles Jr. not long after he joined the staff of their public hospital in 2008. After repeated complaints to hospital administrators went ignored, Mitchell and another nurse drafted a letter to the state medical board, citing six particular cases of concern. In one of these, Arafiles had performed a skin graft in an emergency room without surgical privileges, and the procedure failed. In another, he sutured a rubber tip to a crushed finger, for which he was later reprimanded by the Department of State Health Services. The nurses also complained that Arafiles was e-mailing patients about an herbal remedy that he sold outside his professional capacity.'

Aspartame's Threat to the Unborn

New studies show that aspartame may increase the risk of premature births.

Research funded by the European Union found a correlation between the amount of diet drink consumed and an early birth among the 60,000 women studied, The Mail on Sunday reported on July 10.

The study also says that drinks containing aspartame and other artificial sweeteners may pose a danger to the unborn child.

Some British public health experts are now advising expectant mothers to avoid food and drink containing the chemicals, the report added.'

According to a manual allegedly co-authored by General David Petraeus, the new commander of US, NATO, and other US-led forces in Afghanistan, associates insurgency with Islam.

Petraeus reportedly wrote the counter-insurgency manual, which refers to "Islamic insurgents," "Islamic extremists" and "Islamic subversives," in 2006.

The manual, which also details an alleged link between Muslim groups and terrorists, was reportedly co-authored by General James Amos.

A charity established by Tony Blair to aid the African poor is being run by a banker who helped to mastermind toxic mortgage investments at the centre of an alleged multi-million-pound fraud.

The news that a mystery bank has just pawned the family jewels gave traders a jolt – nervous about the sudden transfer of almost 20pc of the world's annual gold production and the possibility of a sell-off.

The estate tax is set to come roaring back in January. That sets the stage for a perverse calculus: End it all—or leave a massive bill for your heirs to deal with.

It has come to this: Congress, quite by accident, is incentivizing death.

When the Senate allowed the estate tax to lapse at the end of last year, it encouraged wealthy people near death's door to stay alive until Jan. 1 so they could spare their heirs a 45% tax hit. Now the situation has reversed: If Congress doesn't change the law soon—and many experts think it won't—the estate tax will come roaring back in 2011. Not only will the top rate jump to 55%, but the exemption will shrink from $3.5 million per individual in 2009 to just $1 million in 2011, potentially affecting eight times as many taxpayers.'

Was the Social Security Money 'Borrowed' or 'Stolen'?

The intent of the 1983 legislation was to generate large Social Security surpluses for the next 30 years that were supposed to be saved and invested, in order to build up a large reserve in the trust fund that could later be drawn down to pay benefits to the baby boomers. The 1983 payroll tax hike has generated more than $2.5 trillion that is supposed to be in the trust fund. If the trust fund actually held this amount in real assets, full Social Security benefits could be paid until at least 2037 without any changes. Unfortunately, none of the surplus revenue was saved or invested in anything. It was all spent by the government on wars and other government programs without making any provisions for repaying the money.

Over the past 25 years, five presidents, and the members of Congress, have participated in the great Social Security scam. All Social Security contributions made by working Americans, except the amount which was needed to pay current retirement benefits, has been funneled into the general fund and used for non-Social Security purposes. Some like to say that the government just “borrowed” the money during the time period when it was not needed to pay benefits.'

Israeli navy is on high alert as a Libyan aid ship heads for the Gaza Strip to break Israel's naval blockade on the impoverished coastal sliver.

The navy is tracking the ship and has put forces on standby in case it needs to board the vessel, The Jerusalem Post cited Israeli defense ministry sources as saying.

The navy will make contact with the ship while it is still far from Gaza, likely in international waters, and request that it follow naval vessels into Ashdod Port, the sources said.

They also noted that Israel has prepared plans to attack the vessel if it refuses or does not agree to sail to Egypt.'

A Musical Message Discovered In Plato's Works

It sounds like something out of a Dan Brown novel, but a scholar in Manchester, England, claims to have found hidden code in the ancient writings of Plato. If true, the secret messages would have made the ancient philosopher and mathematician a heretic in his day.

Jay Kennedy tells NPR's Guy Raz that his discovery was partially luck. Looking at Plato's works in their original scroll form, he noticed that every 12 lines there was a passage that discussed music. "The regularity of that pattern was supposed to be noticed by Plato's readers," Kennedy says.

Music in ancient Greece was based on a 12-note scale, unlike the eight-note scale of modern Western music. Kennedy posits that Plato deliberately inserted discussions of music every 12 lines to send a secret, musical message.'
