Being Human

We live in age where Malthusian ideology has returned with a vengeance, where indeed human beings are considered useless eaters, a “danger to the planet”.

We live in an age where the value of human life is considered to be negligible by those would-be rulers of the world, the “elites” the “global players”, the “philosopher kings”. And when the ends justify the means, hundreds or thousands and sometimes hundreds of thousands or even millions of human beings can be sacrificed to further the political aim of more power and control for those elites. Torture and any form of humiliation is justified to further those aims, where human dignity is of no concern for those who see themselves as superior, as elites – the ultra-rich, the intellectuals or the scientific geniuses.'

Canadian Newspaper Calls for Malthusian Global Population Reduction Policy

Diane Francis, writing for Canada’s Financial Post, begins an editorial by declaring a myth — the world is over-populated. “The ‘inconvenient truth’ overhanging the UN’s Copenhagen conference is not that the climate is warming or cooling, but that humans are overpopulating the world,” she writes. “A planetary law, such as China’s one-child policy, is the only way to reverse the disastrous global birthrate currently, which is one million births every four days.”

An interesting choice of words. Planetary law. In other words, a world government with the power to decide if humans are allowed to procreate.

Holdren & Company: The Neo-Malthusian School

In the same year that Obama science czar John P. Holdren spoke his mind in Ecoscience, he wrote an article for the book The No-Growth Society, in which a gathering of Neo-Malthusians makes the case for depopulation policies to be implemented in order to avoid impending doom and destruction.

In the book all the contributing authors advocate the ‘no-growth society’, which means there should be no growth in the number of people consuming the earth’s natural resources. In the introduction, economist Mancur Olson presses the point that more government regulation and control is absolutely necessary in order to reach the state of no-growth, or zero population growth

Mixing With Malthusians

Now I know what Greg Dyke, former boss of the BBC, meant by the phrase ‘hideously white’. At the Optimum Population Trust’s invitation-only conference at the end of last week, ‘Environmentally Sustainable Populations’, there was a sea of white faces, grey hair, purple-tinted rinses and blue blazers, as men and women of a certain hue, age and class gathered to discuss the ‘problem’ of population growth. In plummy voices – and in between House-of-Lords-style catnaps, perhaps taken to re-energise their prejudicial streaks – the attendees spoke darkly of ‘decimation’, ‘apocalypse’ and ‘tipping points’ (which is enviro-speak for apocalypse) in a world plagued by ‘too many people’.
