HSBC Bank Threatens to Quit Britain
HSBC bank in UK has slammed the existing criticism against the banking industry and warned it would quit the country in case of a regulatory clampdown.
The biggest bank of Britain has threatened the government it would leave the country and move to oversees. HSBC wants to be protected by the government as an important financial institution.
Since Mervyn King, the Bank of England Governor, criticized bankers, the government became concerned.'

Hmmm, I must say this is the first time I have ever listened to anything Mervyn King has had to say.
ReplyDeleteHowever, in truth, I have never had a problem with HSBC bank.
I suppose overseas operations are cheaper to maintain and run, so, of course this makes sense.
Anyway, you can tell the difference between banks that are well run and the ones that are not. Some of the ones that got huge bailouts are giving themselves a pat on the back and huge bonuses when people are running off and defrauding them and their day to day operations leave a lot to be desired....Hardly something to give yourself a huge bonus for, when you can't even manage your operations effectively....Clown picture comes to mind.
