Massive Protest Held in Germany


Thousands have Germans have taken to the streets of Greifswald to protests a plan by the government to transfer nuclear waste from France to the country.

On Saturday, the coastal town of Greifswald saw 2,500 demonstrates who denounced the transfer scheduled to take place next week, AFP reported.

The protesters held banners reading, "Nuclear power? No thanks."

Germany has been a scene of anti-nuclear protests in recent months and more demonstrations are planned to be held soon.'
