Berlusconi Survives No Confidence Vote by Bribery
Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has won a vote of confidence in the lower house of parliament by a tight margin, amid reports that he secured the vote by offering bribes.
He won by a margin of three votes -- 314 votes for and 311 votes against his government on Tuesday.
Berlusconi also won an earlier vote in the Senate.
Some lawmakers believe Berlusconi's wafer-thin majority will pave the way to early elections despite the confidence vote victory.'
