Britain's Labour Party to Drop Support to US

The UK Labour Party is currently carrying out a major foreign policy review in which its “unquestioning support” of US foreign policy will be scrapped, says the shadow foreign secretary.

In an interview with the daily Independent, Yvette Cooper said that Labour is preparing to drop its unquestioning support of US foreign policy under former British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.

Cooper boasted that the party should have denounced the US over human rights situation in the States, claiming that the party must be more explicit in public, in future, where it disagrees with the US government as well as areas where there is an agreement.'
