Swine Flu Mandatory Vaccinations Protest Edinburgh 12th December 2009
A Swine Flu Manditory Vaccination Protest has been organised in Edinburgh, Scotland on December 12th from 12noon-2pm. We will be meeting outside the gates of Edinburgh Castle at 12noon and then marching down the Royal Mile to the Scottish parliament building.
This will be a peaceful protest and we ask that everybody behave accordingly with no alcohol or abusive behaviour. Protestors should wear warm waterproof clothing and bring banners and posters. Homemade t-shirts with anti-vaccination slogans or fancydress would be welcomed.

The roadside trials will allow the force to get an idea of how prevalent drug-driving is in the region after ministers drew up plans to create a new offence of driving with any illegal drug in the bloodstream.
Drivers would not be obliged to co-operate and because the equipment has yet to receive Home Office approval for roadside use, officers will not be able to prosecute a driver who gives a positive reading.
They would only be able to act under existing law if they could prove the motorist's performance was hampered by illegal drugs.

Confidential negotiations on how to implement the Lisbon Treaty have produced proposals to allow the EU to negotiate treaties and even open embassies across the world.
A letter conferring a full "legal personality" for the Union has been drafted in order for a new European diplomatic service to be recognised as fully fledged negotiators by international bodies and all non-EU countries.
Lorraine Mullally, the director of Open Europe, described the move as "a huge transfer of power which makes the EU look more like a country than an international agreement".
"Giving the EU legal personality means that the EU, rather than member states, will be able to sign all kinds of international agreements – on foreign policy, defence, crime and judicial issues – for the first time," she said.

Windows 7 Will Let Microsoft Track Your Every Move
From FireEagle to iPhone apps that use your current location, everyone it seems is racing to get on the geo-aware software bandwagon. So far most geo-aware features have been opt-in and offer reasonable privacy controls (FireEagle is a good example of this), but Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 7 plans to offer developers location tools at the operating system level and the company doesn’t seem to think users care about control or privacy.
Before you freak out at the thought that Redmond will soon be tracking your every move, keep in mind that the new features will be disabled by default. That’s the good news.
The bad news is that if you turn the geo features on, there are very few controls available and, yes, Microsoft could easily track your every move. Now you can freak out.
