Now the WHO Wants to Add Swine Flu to Normal Flu Vaccines

The World Health Organization is recommending that swine flu be added to the regular flu vaccine next season.

WHO said in a statement Thursday that it held a meeting this week to decide which flu strains should be recommended to drug makers for their vaccines during the northern hemisphere's next flu season, which begins in the fall.'

WHO Chief Yet to be Vaccinated Against Swine Flu

World Health Organization chief Margaret Chan revealed Tuesday that she has yet to be vaccinated against the swine flu virus, which has killed over 11,500 people world-wide.

"I have asked my medical service to enquire where I can go to get my vaccination," she told reporters in Geneva, pointing out that she has just returned from leave.

The WHO director-general stressed that she would "of course" get vaccinated and that "many of my staff" at the WHO have already taken their jabs against the A(H1N1) virus.'

Swine Flu Vaccine Deliveries to Sweden are Stopped

The delivery of the vaccine against swine flu are to be stopped from early January. That is the outcome of an agreement between several Swedish authorities and the vaccine manufacturer Glaxo Smith Kline, says Sveriges Radio Ekot.


Sweden was one of the few countries that made a deal with Glaxo Smith Kline for complete coverage and ordered 18 million doses of vaccine. When the recommendations were changed later from two to one dose per adult, it was clear that Sweden would have a large surplus of the vaccine.

But now, Swedish authorities have managed to stop further deliveries temporarily. In January,by which time 10 million doses will have been delivered, no further deliveries will be made.'

Edinburgh Protest Against Swine Flu Vaccine

Demonstrators have marched through Scotland’s capital to protest against swine flu vaccination.

The group believe H1N1 is not as serious as it is claimed, and say they have concerns about the safety and usefulness of the vaccine.

Around 80 people took part in the march along Edinburgh's Royal Mile from St Giles’ Cathedral to the Scottish Parliament.

Organiser Claire Knox said they hoped the protest encourages people to think twice about getting the vaccine.'

German Doctor Accuses Health Ministry of 'Massive Lies' Concerning Adjuvant Squalene

The head of the Health Net of Alzey und Framersheimer, GP Dr Friedel Rohr, has accused the German Health Ministry of deceiving the general public about the risks associated with the swine flu jab.

A Killers OK Untested H1N1 Vax For INFANTS, Children

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of the CSL Limited’s 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccine to include children ages 6 months and older. This vaccine was previously approved only for use in adults, ages 18 years and older.

Brooklyn Girl Winds up in Hospital After Being Injected With H1N1 Swine flu Vaccine Without Parental Permission
