A number of Bahraini doctors are scheduled to stand trial in a military court for treating anti-government protesters, despite international pressure on Bahrain to stop the violent crackdown on demonstrators.
According to Bahrain's justice minister, 47 doctors and nurses have been charged with attempting to depose the regime.
Saudi-backed Bahraini forces have also detained dozens of medical professionals and accused them of helping the protesters.
But the medical professionals say it is their duty to treat the injured.'
