Vatican police have clashed with Roma gypsies who took refuge at one of Rome's ancient churches after their camps were dismantled.
About 150 Roma gypsies were barred from participating in the Easter vigil of the basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls on Sunday, after temporarily taking shelter there on Good Friday, The Telegraph reported.
Local and foreign pilgrims, who had gathered to attend the vigil, called “shame” on the police.'
