Alice in Videoland: Looking Through a Rectangular TV Window into an Alternative Universe

Sometimes, and not often enough, insights, understandings and new ideas just pop into your mind, unbidden. How? I have no idea but as the brain apparently operates somewhere on the quantum level, figuring out how it happens I suspect is and always will be impossible. Somehow, watching television interferes with this process, specifically the bit (or is it bits?) of the brain that can distinguish between fantasy and reality.'

Red Ice Radio: Sonia Barrett - Hacking the Mind & Breaking Reality Codes

Author of “The Holographic Canvas”, Sonia Barrett returns to Red Ice Radio to talk about some of her latest material on how to hack the mind and break the code of reality. We discuss the human being as a program and the holographic program that is underlying everything. We discuss the recent news about the Croatian girl who woke up from a coma speaking fluent German. How can we re-program our belief about reality and hence change reality?'

The Scientific Manipulation of Our Reality

The following quotes are from Bertrand Arthur-William Russell who was a renowned British philosopher, a supporter of eugenics and World Government. He’s had a huge influence in the scientific dictatorship that we all live in today. The following quotes will describe how governments use propaganda in public schools, TV and movies to shape public opinions and beliefs to manage large populations for the benefit of the elite.'

Does Death Exist? New Theory Says 'No'

Many of us fear death. We believe in death because we have been told we will die. We associate ourselves with the body, and we know that bodies die. But a new scientific theory suggests that death is not the terminal event we think.

One well-known aspect of quantum physics is that certain observations cannot be predicted absolutely. Instead, there is a range of possible observations each with a different probability. One mainstream explanation, the "many-worlds" interpretation, states that each of these possible observations corresponds to a different universe (the 'multiverse'). A new scientific theory - called biocentrism - refines these ideas. There are an infinite number of universes, and everything that could possibly happen occurs in some universe. Death does not exist in any real sense in these scenarios. All possible universes exist simultaneously, regardless of what happens in any of them. Although individual bodies are destined to self-destruct, the alive feeling - the 'Who am I?'- is just a 20-watt fountain of energy operating in the brain. But this energy doesn't go away at death. One of the surest axioms of science is that energy never dies; it can neither be created nor destroyed. But does this energy transcend from one world to the other?'

Illusion or Reality? Illusion!

A dream is an illusion - it’s not real.

We talk about ‘lifting the veil’ on the New World Order, but how about lifting the veil on the illusion?

We know the world is illusory because it is made up of atoms which are ‘empty’ packets of energy. So this mirage of an existence is really an energetic construct which gives an impression of being real.

Before we look at some of the aspects of this virtual reality, we need to consider why the illusion has to be there in the first place. I mean, why not just have an apparently solid world which we can forever think is solid? Why is it we need to have discovered, or rather rediscovered - because we have always known it - that the whole world is an illusion?

Once we learn we are living inside a hologram, we can begin to see that an existence of infinite possibilities is just on the horizon. This is akin to a leap in understanding - of evolution in thought.

We are actors in a play, and although the script has been written already, this does not make it inflexible. Indeed, it is us who write the script as we go along because we are the creators of our own world.

Our holographic existence is the movie set and, just as in a movie, the set can change as often as the director chooses. Who is the director?

Our World May Be a Giant Hologram

DRIVING through the countryside south of Hanover, it would be easy to miss the GEO600 experiment. From the outside, it doesn't look much: in the corner of a field stands an assortment of boxy temporary buildings, from which two long trenches emerge, at a right angle to each other, covered with corrugated iron. Underneath the metal sheets, however, lies a detector that stretches for 600 metres.

For the past seven years, this German set-up has been looking for gravitational waves - ripples in space-time thrown off by super-dense astronomical objects such as neutron stars and black holes. GEO600 has not detected any gravitational waves so far, but it might inadvertently have made the most important discovery in physics for half a century.

c0mpsych: About Managing Life

Where does all this come from? These Ideas of treachery and machinations of conspiracies. Ever since I was young I felt that I was missing something. That there was something more I should know but, did not. That lack of knowledge left a great void in my life and opened the way along many paths. I look back and find those paths were very difficult indeed. Ahead I see much of the same but in a different light. These paths have led me to two basic tasks in life; Managing everyday life and trying to learn exactly what it is that I have been missing, or have not known, or was not told, or was not taught.

As a child I was aware of the feeling that who I was - what I was - how I thought, was far different then how I perceived others around me thought about those same feelings. I felt somewhat detached, left out. I always wondered what it was that caused these feelings that told me the world was a very mysterious place indeed. I am now learning the cause of many of those feelings which have been with me for as long as I can remember having the thought/feeling, I am me - I am here.

Illusion Gives People 'Out of Body Experiences'

A “body-swap” effect that convinces people they inhabit a different body from their own has been induced by scientists for the first time.

The experiment, in which volunteers were tricked into perceiving the bodies of other people or mannequins as their own, offers powerful new insights into how the brain constructs the sense of self. It also promises practical implications for treating body image disorders such as anorexia, for designing robotic technology and remote surgery tools, and even for developing better virtual reality games.

The illusion was created with a combination of special goggles and tactile stimulation, which fooled participants into sensing that they had moved into another body. The effect was so powerful that when a tailor’s dummy perceived as a volunteer’s body was threatened with a knife, he or she would exhibit physiological signs of stress, such as increased sweating. Even when the other body was a real person of a different sex or race, subjects said they felt a strong sense of ownership over it. “This shows how easy it is to change the brain’s perception of the physical self,” said Henrik Ehrsson, of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, who led the research.

Truman Show Syndrome Delusion: Sufferers Convinced They Are On Reality TV

The self-exposure, instant fame culture peddled by reality shows, social networking internet sites such as Facebook and – above all – the home video-sharing website YouTube has provided a "perfect storm" for vulnerable people, encouraging them to put their fantasies on a global stage, say researchers.
Joel and Ian Gold, a New York psychiatrist and Montreal academic, say they have been inundated with cases since they first expounded what they have dubbed the "Truman Syndrome" two years ago.
The title refers to the 1998 film starring Jim Carey in which the main character gradually realises his humdrum life is being filmed as a reality television show and that everyone he knows is merely acting.
