US Stocks Continue to Tumble


US stocks have taken a dramatic lurch down for fourth consecutive day amid concerns about a bailout for Irish banks and mounting inflation in China.

The Dow Jones industrial average plunged 178.47, or 1.6 percent, to 11,023.50, having dipped below 11,000 earlier in the day, while the Standard & Poor's 500 Index shed 19.41 points, or 1.62 percent, to 1,178.34, Reuters reported on Tuesday.'
