Depleted Uranium Effects Not Only Where the Weapons are Dropped - Also Where They are Tested


On 10 March 2008, the firing of depleted uranium Challenger tank ammunition began again at the Dundrennan range in Dumfries and Galloway in South West Scotland.

Presumably the tests will be being observed by various spy satellites.

The tests are being conducted by the defence research agency, QinetiQ. Thousands of Depleted Uranium rounds have been fired into the Solway Firth from the Dundrennan range over more than two decades.'
