The United Nations has said that Congolese government troops are once again raping and killing people in remote villages of Democratic Republic of Congo.
"I am gravely concerned about the ongoing military operations by FARDC (DR Congo army) in the Walikale territory and the implications for the protection of civilians," said Margot Wallstrom, UN's special envoy on sexual violence against women in conflict, in an address to the UN Security Council on Thursday.
The world body says hundreds of women were raped in the African nation between July and August.'
