On Thursday 1 July Anthony Riddell, 17, was found dead in a wooded area in the city. Two days later Ragan Thomson, 18, was found dead in the same area.
On Saturday, the body of 23-year-old Steven Loftus was found in a local park and a few hours later the body of a 22-year-old man was found in the grounds of a country estate.
Police are not connecting the deaths.
It is understood all four men hanged themselves.'

Let me get this right
Four men of similar age all hang themselves in open spaces within 10 days and the police say they aren't connected!!!
In 1971 l planned to hang myself at the age of 14 because l was afraid and scared of the future.
ReplyDeletelt's not understood as to why these young men hung themselves and l'm not comparing their situations as if they were like mine but for myself it was the fact of my sexuality that l wanted to hang myself.
l tried to fit in superfically with my brother or sister friends that l tagged along with socially, but only quietly in the background never in the foreground which l secretly feared also because of shyness, which could be crippling in its manifestations too.
l tried to be the 'guy' thing having three girlfriends but l just liked them as friends really.
Nothing sexual happened between us other than smooching or snogging.
On the day l planned to suicide l tied an extension lead around a roof beam then secured a noose.
My brother and sister as well as a number of other school friends of theirs had been wagging school, myself included.
No one knew what l was thinking then nor that l was gay, l didn't know what l was myself really then.
lt wasn't until l was almost 30 that my secret fear of people knowing l was gay came unhinged.
As l stood upon a stool in the backyard veranda of my parents house with the noose around my neck l heard a crowd of peoples feet running down the side of the house, l panicked and quickly rushed inside the house locking the back door.
l think they busted down the backdoor if l remember correctly, l don't know now.
lt was my twin brother and about 8 of his friends, they dragged me out from under my bed,
l was so embarrassed hiding my face with my hands.
l just remember my face was so red and thinking how did they know????
Years later l asked my brother what was it that caused them to act in the way they did so.
He has no answer other than something happened
within causing him to run home with others following....intuition?, divine intervention?
l don't know but it happened that way.
l didn't tell them the truth at that age thereby covered up my attempt with a story blaming my grandfathers attitude towards us teenagers during that time when he lived with us in a caravan in the backyard, those years.
