Patients’ groups have described the measures as “astonishingly brutal”.
An investigation by The Sunday Telegraph has uncovered widespread cuts planned across the NHS, many of which have already been agreed by senior health service officials. They include:
* Restrictions on some of the most basic and common operations, including hip and knee replacements, cataract surgery and orthodontic procedures.
* Plans to cut hundreds of thousands of pounds from budgets for the terminally ill, with dying cancer patients to be told to manage their own symptoms if their condition worsens at evenings or weekends.
* The closure of nursing homes for the elderly.

ReplyDeleteItis so typical of the so called first world countries these days. Some few greedy people at the top will dictate to the masses what they feel is best.
How about we look at the reverse scenario, cut the jobs of these so called "Senior" officials and immediately free up space, money and resources where it is needed most.
A lot of these people don't have a clue what they are doing and make it up as they go along.
You go to these committee meetings and they will be eating expansive sandwiches and drinking cups of tea and awsting money discussing issues that affect REAL people.
In the meantime, people are in a trance watching "big brother" and other such rubbish on TV that they don't know what time it is until it's too late of course.
I really need to check my spellings when I am typing on this site, I always seem to have typos. I think I get so heated I can't seem to spell. Normally my spelling is 100% or maybe I just need a new keyboard.
