Israeli Tanks Destroy Gaza Farm Lands

Israeli tanks and bulldozers have invaded the Abassan al-Mubra village in the southern district of Gaza Strip, destroying a number of Palestinian farm lands.

The tanks also opened fire at residential homes on Thursday as bulldozers uprooted trees and destroyed farm lands owned by local Palestinian farmers, witnesses told Palestine's Maan news agency.

Israeli tanks frequently invade border areas in the Gaza Strip and destroy lands with the aim to create a security buffer zone along the Israeli-Gaza border.

Meanwhile, in yet another invasion of the northern West Bank, Israeli troops entered the region and detained fifteen Palestinian civilians in the early hours of Thursday.'

Israeli Tanks Cross into Gaza

Israeli tanks have crossed the border into the Gaza Strip with helicopters and drones reportedly flying over the coastal area.

Citing Palestinian sources, Reuters reported that five Israeli tanks and two armored bulldozers entered into the Gaza Strip and started firing towards the central town of Khan Yunis on Friday.'

Israeli Army Tanks Open Fire on Gazans

Israeli army tanks opened fire on northern Gaza Strip, killing a Palestinian and wounding another near the town of Beit Lahia, Palestinian sources say.

According to witnesses living in the area, the army tanks fired four artillery shells at the area on Monday, DPA reported.

The head of Gaza emergency services, Muawiya Hassanein, also confirmed that a Palestinian was killed, saying they recovered the body of Mohammed Ghaban, 20, who was killed by shrapnel from Israeli shelling near Beit Lahia.'

Israeli Strike Kills Three in Central Gaza

At least three Palestinians were killed by Israeli aircraft fire in central Gaza early Sunday evening, medics reported. They were identified as Hasan 22-year-old Al-Qatarawi and 29-year-old Awad Nasir, 29, both from from Deir Al-Balah, as well as Hudayfa Hams, 23, from Nusseirat refugee camp. All three were transferred to Al-Aqsa Hospital in Gaza City, according to Muawiya Hassanein, the Gaza Health Ministry's director of ambulance and emergency services... Also on Sunday, two Palestinians were shot dead by Israeli artillery in northern Gaza, Hassanein reported...'

Israeli army tanks have opened fire on houses and farmlands in the northern sector of the Gaza Strip, according to a report.

A number of Israeli tanks attacked lands located near Beit Hannon and commenced firing on Tuesday midday at Palestinian farmers near the northern Gaza-Israeli border.

Bulldozers also destroyed the crops of the locals, according to the International Middle East Media Center (IMEMC).'

Israeli Troops 'Enter Gaza Strip'

Palestinian fighters in Gaza say they have wounded several Israeli soldiers southeast of the strip after they violated the shaky ceasefire. Fighters from the Islamic Jihad exchanged fire with 10 Israeli soldiers east of the city of Khan Yunis, the group's military wing, the al-Quds Brigades, said on Thursday. There have been no comments from the Israeli army but reports indicate that the fifteen minute shootout wounded five Israeli soldiers.

UN: Israel Broke Six-month Truce in Gaza

A new UN report exposes a bit of misinformation peddled by the US and Israel and shatters the Zionist illusion that the Gaza war was legal.

The report, prepared by human rights investigator Richard Falk, confirms that Tel Aviv was indeed the party that violated the Egyptian-brokered six-month truce in Gaza.

Israel and the democratically elected Palestinian government confined to the Gaza Strip agreed in mid June 2008 to a six-month truce. While reports indicated that Tel Aviv had initially broken the truce with its tanks and bulldozers crossing the southern border of the Gaza Strip on November 4 and 5, echelons in the United States and Israel insisted otherwise.

A widespread campaign in support of the alleged Israeli right to enter the Palestinian territory was then launched by US and Israeli media outlets.
