Bush began the multi-billion dollar Project Hammer program using an investment strategy to bring about the economic destruction of the Soviet Union including the theft of the Soviet treasury, the destabilization of the ruble, funding a KGB coup against Gorbachev in August 1991 and the seizure of major energy and munitions industries in the Soviet Union. Those resources would subsequently be turned over to international bankers and corporations. On November 1, 2001, the second operative in the Bush regime, President George W. Bush, issued Executive Order 13233 on the basis of “national security” and concealed the records of past presidents, especially his father’s spurious activities during 1990 and 1991. Consequently, those records are no longer accessible to the public.1 The Russian coup plot was discussed in June 1991 when Yeltsin visited with Bush in conjunction with his visit to the United States. Obama Blocks Probes into Afghan Massacre

The US administration has repeatedly blocked probes into alleged mass killing of Afghan war prisoners by a US-backed Afghan warlord during the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan.

The New York Times quoted Friday US government and human rights officials as saying that the Bush administration had failed to investigate the mass executions of up to 2,000 Taliban POW's by the forces of General Abdul Rashid Dostum in September 2001.

Meanwhile, Obama administration officials said Friday they had no grounds to investigate into the case because only foreigners were involved and the alleged massacre occurred in a foreign country.

Spain Opens Criminal Case Against Bush Officials

A Spanish court has agreed to open a criminal case against six former Bush administration officials over allegations of supporting torture. Gonzalo Boye, a Madrid lawyer who filed the complaint, told the AP on Saturday that human rights lawyers brought the case before leading anti-terror judge Baltasar Garzon. Garzon who is famous for ordering the arrest of former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet in 1998 has accepted the case and sent it to the prosecutor's office for review.'

Bliar To Accept Top US Medal From Bush

Tony Blair is to receive the United States's highest civilian award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, from his friend George Bush next Tuesday, at a White House ceremony during the latter's last week in office.

The medal, a five-pointed white star, was first introduced by President Harry Truman just after the second world war and later revived to reward eminent citizens for distinguished service in peacetime by president John F Kennedy.
