Afghan Probe Says Nato Killed 65 Kunar Civilians
Government investigators in Afghanistan said about 65 civilians died during a NATO operation last week but NATO said it knew of no civilians killed.
An Afghan-led investigation said civilians, including women and children, were killed in military airstrikes in a remote mountain area of Kunar province during a three-day offensive, the BBC reported.
Afghan leaders, including President Hamid Karzai, said they believe NATO forces killed 20 women, 29 children and many unarmed men.'
