Shameless MPs are set to provoke fresh public anger by pocketing a staggering £10,000-a-year pay rise.
The salary hike comes as MPs faced a backlash today over their blatant attempt to cover up expenses scams.
After weeks of public fury at leaked details, Commons officials unlocked their files yesterday - with crucial details covered in thick black ink.
It meant MPs who 'flipped' homes to claim on different properties - or charged for services such as moat-cleaning - were spared further embarrassment.
Despite growing fury among voters, it has now been revealed that they are to be rewarded for their greed with a £10,000 pay rise.

Corrupt Peers Can Carry On Lobbying Despite Scandal
Peers who influence or amend laws to benefit companies that pay them will not face any new restrictions after the cash for amendments row.
Jack Straw, the Justice Secretary, promised new laws yesterday, allowing members of the Lords to be expelled if they bring the Upper House into disrepute.
Peers who are “non-domiciled” for tax purposes, potentially including billionaire Labour and Tory donors, could also lose their seats if plans supported by the Justice Secretary become law. Mr Straw said that, in general, lobbyists were too influential in British political life — the first hint since a report by the Commons Public Administration Committee on lobbying that curbs may be coming.
But there are no plans by the Government or the House of Lords to restrict peers who lobby on behalf of companies that pay them, despite criticism that this presents a worrying conflict of interest.

Top Tory's Role at Firm That Plugs Labour Health Policy
The row over lucrative second jobs held by David Cameron’s front bench took an embarrassing twist last night after it was revealed that the Shadow Health Secretary is a director of a marketing agency that helps to mount Government health campaigns.
Andrew Lansley, who annoyed the Tory leader last month by writing that recession ‘can be good for us’, works four days a year at Profero, which has won contracts including the ‘talk to Frank’ anti-drugs campaign and the £372million anti-obesity drive.
The party refused to say how much Mr Lansley earned for the post but stressed his contract states his role should not conflict with his political duties.
The revelation – seized on by Labour – will confirm Mr Cameron’s fears that ‘moonlighting’ by 16 of the 22 members of his Shadow Cabinet could be a liability.
