Cops on Camera

  1. Alot of states are passing these "you can't film cops" laws. I can't see how these are constitutional to begin with but its seems to me that we can use these laws against them pretty easy too. You can't make a law that only applies to tall people or white people or to non-cops. Thats not legal, and I doubt they thought of it anyways. Any law that gets passed applies to cops too.

So wouldn't red light cameras that were filming the cops that drive through them, now be illegal?
Wouldn't the dash cams in the cruisers be illegal too? I mean they are filming cops during their duties too.
Wouldn't any camera inside a business, like at the bank, be breaking the law the moment a cop walked in?

I mean that motorcycle guy is going to jail for filming a cop and he really was only trying to film his high speed joy ride and a cop got in the way. He didn't start out trying to film a cop, it just happened. So what about all the other cameras that are doing it by mistake, and those that belong to the cops as well. Aren't they breaking those laws too? And doesn't that mean that shows like "COPS" can't operate in those states anymore without going to jail? I doubt seriously that the police can say the law applies to you and you, but not to the TV shows.
