Now Everyone Has Seen and Heard the True Gordon Brown



Not this time. Now Brown's inadequacies are painfully exposed. He has tried to spin his well-known inability to connect with ordinary people, his woodenness and lack of spontaneous warmth, in his own favour. He opened the second TV debate by highlighting them, to declare he was real and genuine, not a creature of PR like David Cameron and Nick Clegg.

Tonight, in the third and final debate he will doubtless attempt to do the same. But whatever he says now to explain and excuse himself no longer matters. We heard what he said yesterday when, at last, we all caught a frightening glimpse of the true Gordon.'
