That is why I don't personally have a TV. It was quite early on that I found that what was watched on TV was mostly fictional.
The most I watch on TV would be a film, news/current affairs, documentaries, that sort of thing.
Even the news is controlled. How can you get the facts when what you are shown is handpicked for you.
Problem of today is that there are so many people who fail to think in a logical manner. You control the TV, the TV does not control you.
Actors and actresses assume a fictional role. I remember when I used to cry because someone died in a film, then you switch the TV on the next day and there they were in another film.
Of course, if a film is sad, crying means you are human, but I like to learn from films, not just watching for the sake of it, as that would be a waste of my time.
