If you were around in 1919 (just before prohibition started) and came upon the following poster.........

    Even though my first glass is half empty l
    can feel strangely intoxicated and sometimes periodically on the verge of thinking about kissing a charming amphibian of a frogman...if l was to find one hopping about in dreams on golden pond.

    These toadettes are giving me warts on the lips just thinking about it now..
