Ofcom Chairman Joining Board of Royal Mail is 'Beyond Belief'

Critics said the appointment, which was approved by Business Secretary Lord Mandelson, looked like "jobs for the boys" and raised questions over Ofcom's ability to regulate the company effectively for taxpayers.
Part of Ofcom's role will be to agree with Royal Mail the price of stamps. They are due to increase by 3p or double the rate of inflation this year.
Lord Currie, Ofcom's chairman, has joined the board of the postal organisation on a salary of £30,000 a year.
