More Children Need to be Taken Into Care, Says NSPCC Head Andrew Flanagan

Too many children at risk of serious neglect or abuse are being left with their parents because the care system is considered such a poor alternative, the head of the NSPCC has said.
Andrew Flanagan, the new chief executive of the charity, said that after the Baby P tragedy the debate should shift to why foster and residential care were considered “not a good option” and the steps needed to improve the system so that it was not used as an excuse to leave children in danger.
This is the second head of children's charities who is advocating taking children into care, the first was the ex prison chief and head of Barnardo's. Anything to get hold of your children!

  1. I agree. When I read the introduction of
legislation to make plumbers "mandatory reporters" I was nauseated.

We are building a state of "children" that
will be exploited beyond our wildest nightmare.
Using the message about protecting kids has
become a vehicle for getting them and pushing
the agenda of selection to the forefront.

Yes, the illusion must be smashed...and it is
falling down right now. The truth, no matter
how small the voice...is enough to crack the
lie and all the little lies will be dashed
    against a stone.

    Thanks.

  2. Yes you can see where this is going create the situation as in the Baby P case and the antidote is much worse. As soon as I saw the statement by Andrew Flanagan NSPCC I Knew others must be thinking along the same lines. Thankfully People are beginning to make a stand as in the case of the two brothers taken into care by Somerset Social Services.
