Cinema-style Age Ratings For Websites By Jim Porter

An article from yesterday’s Guardian follows. My comments are in bold.

**** *** ****

Internet sites could be given government-approved age ratings to prevent children accessing inappropriate material, a cabinet minister has suggested, in a move that is likely to trigger fears over web censorship.

What a classic sentence from our ‘impartial’ media. There’s no chance of any of these mainstream newspapers (floating down the main stream together, oblivious as to where it leads) saying: “Wrong, wrong! The internet does not need censoring!”

Whether they realise it or not, these newspapers are the mouthpiece of the Government.

And why is it always ‘fears’ that have to be triggered?
