Israel says that Resolution 1701 has failed to reach the goal of Hezbollah's disarmament and the movement is more powerful than ever. Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak voiced concerns about what he called Hezbollah's "military reinforcement which is closely being monitored". "There has been a very significant reinforcement of Hezbollah in recent years, and we are examining the possibility that the balance of power has shifted with the introduction of sophisticated weapons from Syria." "It's not for nothing that we're training here," Barak told Israeli political and military officials who were participating in a large-scale military exercise in the occupied Golan Heights on Tuesday.
