Copenhagen's Hidden Agenda: The Multibillion Trade in Carbon Derivatives
As I have previously shown, speculative derivatives (especially credit default swaps) are a primary cause of the economic crisis.
And I have pointed out that (1) the giant banks will make a killing on carbon trading, (2) while the leading scientist crusading against global warming says it won't work, and (3) there is a very high probability of massive fraud and insider trading in the carbon trading markets.
Now, Bloomberg notes that the carbon trading scheme will be centered around derivatives:
The banks are preparing to do with carbon what they’ve done before: design and market derivatives contracts that will help client companies hedge their price risk over the long term. They’re also ready to sell carbon-related financial products to outside investors.
[Blythe] Masters says banks must be allowed to lead the way if a mandatory carbon-trading system is going to help save the planet at the lowest possible cost. And derivatives related to carbon must be part of the mix, she says. Derivatives are securities whose value is derived from the value of an underlying commodity -- in this case, CO2 and other greenhouse gases...

Venezuela Issues Arrest Warrants For 30 Bankers
A court in Venezuela has issued arrest warrants for 30 bank executives over their alleged mismanagement of the country's financial affairs.
The court order comes days after the government of President Hugo Chavez nationalized seven banks due to their 'unregulated' transactions.
“A group of irresponsible bankers, of citizens crazed by ambition, started to use the public's money, private and public money in their banks, to commit crimes,” Chavez said on Monday before the arrest orders were issued.

Donation Drive For TruthJuice
Hi to all my readers,
I together with some likeminded friends here in North Wales are in the process of setting up an organisation called 'truithjuice' running weekly meetings of a combination of excellent speakers and big film nights.
I have already obtained the website www.truthjuice.co.uk which is under construction and we are in the process of trying to book speakers covering 'Alternative Health', 'Mind, Body, Spirit', 'Globalisation and the New World Order', 'Supressed Technology', 'Exopolitics' and ' Hidden History amongst other subjects.
We have a venue which will seat up to 150 and are trying to find the technology we need to make this a success, i.e mics, LCD Projector, speakers and amp.
This will be a totally non profit concern with the sole aim of getting the word out to the public in this crucial time of awakening.
To this end we need to raise about £6,000 to pay for the website, speakers, venue, technical equipment as above and also the mailing, flyers, advertisments to make this a success.
We want to use this as a pilot operation with a view to rolling out from region to region to eventually cover the Whole of the UK.
To this end we need YOUR help. Whatever you can spare will be massively appreciated and a list of donors will go up on the truthjuice website when it is up and running.

Flu Vaccine Clinic Turnout Lower Than Expected
Boston public health officials had hoped to inoculate 5,000 residents in Hyde Park yesterday against H1N1 - and another 5,000 today in West Roxbury - as part of a community vaccination drive that targets people most at risk for getting swine flu. The H1N1 vaccine is only being offered to those at greatest risk of complications and viral illness - people age 3 to 24, and adults 25 through 64 who suffer from asthma, heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. Regular seasonal flu shots were not offered this weekend.

Copenhagen Talks Tough on Climate Protest Plans
At an abandoned beer warehouse in this city’s Valby district, law enforcement officials have constructed an elaborate holding facility with three dozen steel cages to accommodate more than 350 potential troublemakers during a United Nations climate conference that gets under way here on Monday.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class using Obama's democratic socialism." For the rest of the year, all grades would be averaged. Everyone would receive the same grade so no one would be "unjustly" at the "bottom" of the class and no one would be "unjustly" at the "top" of the class.
There would be "economic justice" and "grade equality" in the class.
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.
The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.
Within weeks, as the second test rolled around, the students who studied little, studied even less. The students who studied hard for the first test decided they wanted a "freer ride" too, so they studied a lot less. It was a “utopian paradise” for slackers.
The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test was administered less than two months after plunging the entire class into Obama’s national, "democratic" socialism, the average was an F.
The grades never increased above an F as the envy and blame created rage. More tests, more F’s. Even the slackers had hard feelings. No one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
All failed.
On the last day of class, the professor told the sullen students that Obama’s gangster socialism would ultimately FAIL because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great. But when "democratic" socialism takes away the reward, no one will endeavor. Most people will work to 'get through their workday' but few, if any, will strive to their full potential or excel or innovate.
Most shocking to all of the students, the professor made it clear that all the F’s were final, everyone failed.
Bottom-line:
In the future, thanks to gangster socialism, everyone in the class would have a hard time finding any job.

Moscow Rejected US Request To Recognize A Jewish State
The Haaretz newspaper said on Friday that Moscow refused an American overture calling on the international quartet to recognize Israel as a Jewish state and give it the right to annex the major settlement outposts in the West Bank to its borders.

In September 1982, Bhopali journalist Raj Keswani wrote a terrifying story, the first of a series of articles, for the city's Jansatta daily. Bhopal was about to be annihilated. "It will take just an hour, at most an hour-and-a-half, for every one of us to die."

The first world war gas was used in the production of MIC (methyl-isocyanate), a substance 500 times deadlier than hydrogen cyanide, and so volatile that unless kept in spotless conditions, refrigerated to 0C, it can even react explosively with itself. Cooling it slows reactions, buys time, but MIC is so dangerous that chemical engineers recommend not storing it at all unless absolutely necessary and then only in the tiniest quantities. French President Announces Creation of Paramilitary Groups
French President Nicolas Sarokozy has announced plans to form paramilitary groups to patrol parts of cities, the "banlieu", where large numbers of immigrants live, in a move that has disturbing echoes of Fascist Europe in the 1930s.
Private "citizen" paramilitary groups are supposed to keep „law and order“ in the banlieue. But the decision to set them up ahead of the up ahead of up-coming regional elections will spark fears that will be employed to intimidate political opponents.

Engelking, 27, aimed to hunt deer Wednesday morning when he noticed a pipeline crew on his land. He hopped on his ATV and told workers they had no right to be on his property because he had received no compensation from Enbridge Energy Partners L.P. for an easement.

The UN panel on climate change warning that Himalayan glaciers could melt to a fifth of current levels by 2035 is wildly inaccurate, an academic says.

Blix Says Iraqi Blood on Bush, Blair Hands
Former IAEA chief Hans Blix condemns former US president George W. Bush and former British Premier Tony Blair for waging war in Iraq.
In an interview with the British newspaper, the Daily Mail, Blix censured former US and UK governments for having misled their nations by magnifying former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's alleged accumulation of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs).
The alleged existence of such weapons was then used by the UK and the US governments as a pretext to launch the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
Blix, who directed the then UN weapons inspection team, told the paper that Bush and Blair's obsession with Saddam's planned ouster led them to embark on a 'witch hunt' to bring down the former Iraqi leader.'

Dr Kelly WAS Murdered and There has to Be a New Inquest, Say Six Top Doctors
Six doctors who believe government scientist David Kelly was murdered have launched a ground-breaking legal action to demand the inquest into his death is reopened.
They are to publish a hard-hitting report which they claim proves the weapons expert did not commit suicide as the Hutton Report decided.
They have also engaged lawyers to write to Attorney General Baroness Scotland and the coroner Nicholas Gardiner calling for a full re-examination of the circumstances of his death.

Police forces across the country have been warned to stop using anti-terror laws to question and search innocent photographers after The Independent forced senior officers to admit that the controversial legislation is being widely misused.
The strongly worded warning was circulated by the Association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo) last night. In an email sent to the chief constables of England and Wales's 43 police forces, officers were advised that Section 44 powers should not be used unnecessarily against photographers. The message says: "Officers and community support officers are reminded that we should not be stopping and searching people for taking photos. Unnecessarily restricting photography, whether from the casual tourist or professional, is unacceptable.'

What we discovered shocked us. We were flabbergasted. Rendered speechless.
We were unprepared for what we encountered. Book after book after book contained stories and anecdotes that weren’t merely X-rated and pornographic, but which featured explicit descriptions of sex acts between pre-schoolers; stories that seemed to promote and recommend child-adult sexual relationships; stories of public masturbation, anal sex in restrooms, affairs between students and teachers, five-year-olds playing sex games, semen flying through the air. One memoir even praised becoming a prostitute as a way to increase one’s self-esteem. Above all, the books seemed to have less to do with promoting tolerance than with an unabashed attempt to indoctrinate students into a hyper-sexualized worldview.'

Israel stripped over 4,500 Jerusalemite Palestinians of their "residency rights" in 2008.
This marks a huge acceleration of a policy that has been in force since Israel occupied East Jerusalem in 1967. In these 41 years, Israel has now stripped over 12,000 Palestinians of their "permits" to live in Jerusalem, 35 per cent or so of those in 2008 alone.
It also maps out exactly where the current right-wing Israeli government, which has made no secret of its wish to Judaise Jerusalem, a travesty of history if ever there was one, is heading.'
